Yes you have proven yourself to be devoid of reason.

Tell me, why is it such a big deal to you and other theists when you find a nonbeliever? I mean why not just say, ok well we theists haven't been able to demonstrate our god exists and because of that there will be some that won't believe but hey nonbelievers are good people too so live and let live.

Did I not say live and let live yesterday? I do believe I did. The fact that you are an unbeliever doesn't bother me. By all means, do your thing. Nor do I have a problem with admitting that the existence of God cannot be proven using the scientific method. Whether or not you are a good or bad person is not for me to judge. I can accept you as you are. I don't feel the need to change or convert you in any way. Why is it so hard for you to admit that you can't disprove God's existence using the scientific method? Why must every theist be a moron, creatard, or otherwise devoid of logic in your opinion simply for being a theist? You can't use the scientific method to prove them wrong either. You demand respect and acceptance yet offer none in return. In fact, many atheists are just as aggressively opinionated about their lack of belief as the religious fundies that they stand so adamantly against. Talk about a double standard. What is that proving?

I swear just because your god is nothing more than a figment of the imagination as you have admitted, your posts are there for all to see.

Prove it. Whip out your big bad scientific method and disprove my God's existence. Your insults prove nothing.

Provide a test that would determine the existence or non-existence of your deity. Then we can go and do the test. If there is no such test, the default position is non-existence. This is as true of your deity as it is true of dark matter or the Higg's boson.

So just because you can't explain it using the scientific method automatically deems it non-existent? Irregardless of the millions of human beings who have believed in a higher power of some sort since the beginning of time? Irregardless of the plethora of other equally interesting phenomena which cannot be proven or disproven using the scientific method? So basically if the scientific method cannot explain it, then it doesn't exist? Yeah. That's completely logical.

Who sounds like a parrot now? Oh, that's the question you got all flustered about. I have no idea why science can't prove or disprove the existence of God. Do you? The same question has perplexed many a mind far more brilliant than our own. Perhaps we have been approaching the subject from the wrong direction. I honestly don't know. Nor does it bother me. Tell me, is this the sort of question that keeps you up at night, Polly? Dost thou need a cracker?

If there is no way to detect something, even in theory, then it is non-existent. Explanations are irrelevant here. The question is not whether the scientific method can explain some observations or not. The question is the meaning of the term 'existent'.
Irregardless of the millions of human beings who have believed in a higher power of some sort since the beginning of time?
yes, the number of people who believe doesn't impact whether it is true.
Irregardless of the plethora of other equally interesting phenomena which cannot be proven or disproven using the scientific method?
For example?

Once again, it is not a matter of explanation. It is a matter of detection. If there is no way to detect something, even in theory (so it isn't simply a matter of current technology), then that something does not exist. If you don't see this, let me ask what it does mean to not exist? How *would* you show something does not exist except by the complete lack of any detection, even in theory?

Somebody might wanna install a fan into the side of your head so your brain don't overheat. That ain't a human brain. That's a frickin computer! I get what you're saying, computer. I even get the need for your overly analytical brain to rationalize and prove everything using the scientific method. I also get that there are things out there that we, as humans, don't understand yet. Can the scientific method be used to explain everything that we have ever encountered as human beings? Nah. It's still a great tool for obtaining knowledge. Let's go with your theory of a non-existing God for a minute. I can understand how some people may believe in a higher power, but how do you explain millions of people believing in a higher power? How do you explain that same belief in a higher power spanning back to the beginning of time? They can't all be mad so you can't simply chock it up to them being delusional. What is the explanation for it? If we can't touch, taste, see, or hear God, how do we explain humanity's belief in him?

Hey it's your assertion that we can't use science to prove god. I am merely asking why you think that is? And look at how you are assigning god all of these properties and such. How could you possibly know this is he is completely undetectable?

Polly want a cracker?

So first you want US to do your homework on why god can't be proven AND you also need us to do your homework on why it is YOU think science can't disprove god?

Polly you are failing big time! So now you are not only unable to show proof for your assertion of a god but you are also unable to explain your own assertions?

WTF! Are you retarded or something?

Look if you are unable to explain your own assertion may I suggest not asserting it?

Wow.. just.... wow.

Eat your cracker Polly, holly effing sht!

I don't claim God to be undetectable. On the contrary. I believe God to be quite real. No further proof needed in my opinion. You and I both know I have already answered your question. Are you just wanting another cracker, Polly?

OMG! LMAO! My how easily you get riled up! Back to the cage with you, beastie! No cracker for you!
I can't use science to prove the existence of God. Nor can you use science to disprove his existence. End of story. Why? I'm not sure. What is your opinion as to why? If it's all made up, then why do so many people believe in a higher power? And why for so long? Among other things. Surely, we can't all be mad. As for my homework, it's due on Friday. Be sure to spell correctly. I need an A.

All you need to know is the book says that the god will make you eat your child. Now, grovel and kiss ass, or don't. But whatever you do, it's yours, keep it to yourself, doing otherwise will get you mocked and ridiculed.
