question 11 ==== http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/TMQ7EN3HI...
question 12 ... Why is evolutionary ‘just-so’ story-telling tolerated?... Evolutionists often use flexible story-telling to ‘explain’ observations contrary to evolutionary theory .. NAS (USA) member Dr Philip Skell wrote ..“Darwinian explanations for such things are often too supple:.. Natural selection makes humans self-centered and aggressive .. except when it makes them altruistic and peaceable ... Or natural selection produces virile men who eagerly spread their seed .. except when it prefers men who are faithful protectors and providers ... When an explanation is so supple that it can explain any behavior .. it is difficult to test it experimentally .. much less use it as a catalyst for scientific discovery"
See:.. http://creation.com/images/pdfs/tj/j18_3/j18_... ..‘Just-so’ stories of sex and family life .... http://creation.com/genesis-unleashed... .. Video on Question 12
LOL.
The creation story in Genesis is a Bronze Age myth. Period. It was made up by goat herders who didn't know that plants need the sun to survive, that moonlight is just a reflection of sunlight, that the earth is a rotating sphere, or that DNA exists. So, we can dismiss that tale as being history.

There will always be questions about evolution we can't answer. That doesn't mean the creation story in Genesis is true, I've just shown it isn't.

The Holy Bible: King James Version. 2000.
The First Book of Moses, Called
Genesis
1
The Creation
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: 2 Cor. 4.6 and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Day and night before there was a sun. Wow, we can dismiss this story as nonsense before we even get to verse 6!

question 15 ... Why is a fundamentally religious idea .. a dogmatic belief system that fails to explain the evidence .. taught in science classes?.... Karl Popper .. famous philosopher of science .. said ..“Darwinism is not a testable scientific theory .. but a metaphysical [religious] research programme" ... Michael Ruse .. evolutionist science philosopher admitted ..“Evolution is a religion .. This was true of evolution in the beginning .. and it is true of evolution still today”.... If “you can’t teach religion in science classes”.... why is evolution taught?
See:.. http://creation.com/evo-religious .. The religious nature of evolution and .. http://creation.com/its-not-science ..“It’s not science”..... http://creation.com/genesis-unleashed... .. Video on Question 15
What do you get out of lying and claiming evolution is a religion?
You clearly have never taken a science class.
Evolution is taught is science classes because there is evidence to back it up.

here .. allow me to help you noho ... when you see a beautiful painting as in the Mona Lisa ... you therefore understand that somewhere there is/was a very talented and gifted ... what
I know what you are trying to get at, you want me to say "artist". But any beauty I see in the painting is purely subjective. Basically a message from one human to another. I doubt a cat would see a human face in the painting.

Julia Sweeney destroys the whole "intelligent design" idea so completely I don't understand why anybody still considers it. Basically, she says that the human eye is "designed" like a video camera with all the wiring on the outside. And there is a blind spot. But neither is the case with squid's eyes. What? Does god like squids better than humans?

The horseshoe crab is one of thousands of organisms living today that show little change from their ‘deep time’ fossils. In the supposed ‘200 million’ years that the horseshoe crab has remained unchanged (no evolution), virtually all reptiles, dinosaurs, birds, mammals and flowering plants have supposedly evolved .... why
LOL. Take a fking science class will you?
Evolution is driven by random mutations. So, actually, you would *expect* some species to remain the same.

But even if you could prove that evolution doesn't happen, it wouldn't change the fact that the creation story in Genesis is just a Bronze Age myth.

I have a hypothesis:
John and "His Truth" are one and the same poster.
They use similar non-argument and continue to IGNORE any and all questions put to them.
Aka, they are the same poster.
Those are traits pretty much all fundies have in common.:)
Their beliefs can't really stand up to serious questioning.
I just feel their styles are too different and "His Truth's" focus is too much on just evolution. He also provides links (pointless links, but links) while John doesn't.

It's been the end times for 2000 years. Your failed messiah told children at his feet that the end of the world would come before some of them died. See any 2000 year old people walking around?

If not Jesus failed. But that's ok as we have no historical proof he even existed.

Yeesh can you change your profile picture please? Good grief you are one butt ugly retarded looking reject.

Oh and you need proof of electricity past 600 years? Seriously? I mean really? You are truly this ignorant?

My niece in the 1st grade could answer that.

No surprise..so many of the newbie creationists confuse about three or four different fields of science in their naive arguments...

langoliers did it until we educated him somewhat. BBsting did the same but seems to realize he didn't knwo what he was talking about and left...

Obviously ignorance is considered a positive for them. How sad to abandon reason for a myth.

Wow-- you really don't know?

The scientists were created by their mothers, just like any other human.

Except perhaps in your case? Maybe you were hatched from under a slime mold? Who knows?

As for the DNA? The scientists created it from raw chemicals. Duuuh.

You may be correct-- it just seemed to me that John was actually going off his scripts of late, and perhaps he managed to get a PC that he could create a real ID on Topix.

Of course ignorance is considered a virtue by these people

After all, the first bible-story is one of knowledge and punishment--

-- the REAL story of Eden was that knowledge is forbidden.

Making ignorance into a virtue.

It is truly an ugly religion.
