1. I have great admiration for the scientific achievements of many jewish people, it is you in particular who is dumb.

2. The article below claims 20%, you claim 75%.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jewish_N...

Again, it is you who is dumb.

3. In order to bulk up the numbers above, note you have to include many non-judaists such as the deist Albert Einstein and the avowedly Atheist Richard Feynmann.

4. I see that Fritz Haber is in the above - the man who made it possible for Germany to use gas in warfare.

You wish you could have the brain of a Jew. You speak like this because you are jealous. Evidence? Check about the Nobel Prizes' winners since the day they started being granted. Jews, a nation of only 14 million of people have scored 75% while 25% is shared by the rest of Mankind. About seven billion people. Now, I hope you can see that by loosing our foreskin our brain was doubled.

Because we are not talking about a magician taking off a rabbit out of his hat. Matter cannot exist without being caused.
I disagree. The notion that everything needs a cause has been modified by quantum mechanics.

So what's the cause of your god?

Probably because you cannot understand Logic.
You have GOT to be joking.

Pm is a professor of mathematics. Of course he understands logic.

I'd be willing to bet your understanding of logic is..."It agrees with what I already think."

I did not say that something caused by something else is uncaused. Read what I wrote again.
Once again, given some event of thing, here are the possibilities:
1. It is caused by other things.
2. It is self-caused.
3. It is uncaused.
I will agree with you that 2 is actually impossible. But this still allows 3.
Why does time have to have a cause? I agree that it is not caused by itself, but why is it caused at all?
My position is that causality requires time, so time itself cannot be caused. The notion of causality simply cannot apply to time.

I can't wait till you log in one day and get a harsh dose of reality.

Lets see you lie your way out of that.

I bet you will be sending bitter passive-aggressive messages to Topix like:

"Topix admins confused, I doubt their sincerity"

Lets see if your creationist bullsh*t works on them?

Really! So answer my question. Did the universe cause itself to exist? If it had a beginning how did that happen?

No. It was uncaused.

It had a beginning in the sense that time does not go infinitely into the past (as far as we know--it is still possible it does, in which case there was not a beginning).

When you ask 'how', you are asking for a causal sequence. That is impossible since time is part of the universe and time is required for causality. I can describe what happened immediately *after* the universe began, but *before* is an impossibility.

Nothing caused the universe to exist, it always was.
Your god has no evidence for it and absence of evidence is evidence of absence.

Wrong! You are still stuck to the mistake of Aristotle which was fixed in 1922 with the BB. I have told you this more than many times. Your stiff-necked attitude to agree is the frustration that all atheists struggle with for the simple reason that it was a theist who made the big discovery and influenced the whole body of scientists. Did you know the Jesuits produce the best cosmologists?

Another one stuck to a mistake hard to die because it was mistakenly taught for 2,300 years. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee of the truth. The universe had a beginning as an evidence that it was caused to exist. I am disappointed at atheists
whom I thought were not so stiff-necked to let the stone age go. Hey Lacez, it is time to leave the cave behind. There is a much larger world out there. You are behaving like a Christian who is supposed to walk by faith and not by sight, according to 2 Cor.5:7.

I have told you this more than many times.
And your understanding is deficient. The universe is uncaused in the BB theory, but caused under Aristotelian cosmology.

LeMaitre was certainly a great scientist. He also chided the Pope for using the BB theory as a proof of the God concept, pointing out that the science stands or falls on its own and offers no proof of theology.

Wrong. In fact, it is BB cosmology, which is based on General Relativity, that shows why the universe cannot be caused: time is part of the universe (i.e, spacetime) and causality requires time.
I am disappointed at atheists
whom I thought were not so stiff-necked to let the stone age go.
YOU are the one using the Aristotelian notions of causality.
Hey Lacez, it is time to leave the cave behind. There is a much larger world out there. You are behaving like a Christian who is supposed to walk by faith and not by sight, according to 2 Cor.5:7.
