Bullshit.

We **have** a moral foundation: it's called the US Constitution.

And it is **delightfully** godless!

Amazing.

P.s. If you like to read I suggest a book called I don't have enough faith to be an atheist, by Norman Geisler. If you can read that book and still believe in atheism over creation, then you have waaaaaaaay more faith then I do. ;)
Geisler is a liar, a fake and a bigot.

Fail.

I left because I read the **whole** bible.

Well, since the fundie godbots can't argue their views honestly, they desperately NEED to make ignorant assumptions about the 'opposition' and claim it as truth so they have something to argue against. Yeah, it is stupid, I know... but apparently it's all they've got

Do you believe in evolution? If so, then you believe that we all came from random natural processes that were driven by nothing more than natural selection and mutation: nothing immaterial exists. If nothing immaterial exists, then objective morality cannot exist, as it is immaterial and only an immaterial god could create immaterial morality. This all means that you shouldn't care what happens to anyone if you believe in evo, because "caring" is a product of morality. You shouldn't have a problem with someone stealing what they want because stealing is a product of immorality. If morality doesn't exist, then everything is up for grabs as it is all about personal preferences and one's own raw desires/needs. True or no?
You know... it's funny. You complain about others calling you names... then you post idiotic drivel like this! It's not so much calling you names as it is pointing out the painfully obvious. You're an idiot.

Really? Tell that to the evangelical Christians at Baylor University, the "largest Baptist University in the world," where the students go on mission trips, etc.
This is from the Biology Department at Baylor:
http://www.baylor.edu/biology/index.php...
Statement on Evolution
"Evolution, a foundational principle of modern biology, is supported by overwhelming scientific evidence and is accepted by the vast majority of scientists. Because it is fundamental to the understanding of modern biology, the faculty in the Biology Department at Baylor University, Waco, TX, teach evolution throughout the biology curriculum. We are in accordance with the American Association for Advancement of Science's statement on evolution. We are a science department, so we do not teach alternative hypotheses or philosophically deduced theories that cannot be tested rigorously."
Also, here from the Baylor Geology Department:
http://www.baylor.edu/geology/index.php...
Quote:
"Question: Does the fossil record support the idea of biological change over time (biological evolution)?
Yes. The fossil record clearly indicates...
• a progression in complexity of organisms from very simple fossil forms in the oldest rocks (>3.5 billion years old) to a broad spectrum from simple to complex forms in younger rocks,
• that some organisms that were once common are now extinct, and
• that the living organisms inhabiting our world today are similar (but generally not the same) as organisms represented as fossils in young sedimentary deposits, which in turn have evolutionary ancestors represented as fossils in yet older rocks.
Mammals, for example, are prevalent today and can be traced back in the fossil record for approximately 200 million years, but are not present as mammals in the fossil record before that; however, fossil forms that have reasonably been interpreted to be associated with the evolutionary precursors to mammals are found in older rocks.
Whether biological evolution occurs has not been a matter of scientific debate for more than a century. It is considered a proven fact."

I didn't say they were criminal minded, I said they have no moral foundation if there is no God. Objective morality, the idea that a certain thing is wrong, no matter who you are or where you are from, had to have come from an intelligence. Why? Because if there was no intellect involved, then how could it have been instilled into our make up?
It *wasn't* instilled in our make up. It was obtained through history via a difficult process of improvement over time. It began with protection of self and children: most mammal species have this. It progressed to protection of the tribe: mutual survival promoted this. It gradually extended to other clans via trade: peace with other tribes allows an improved standard of living. Then it became universal. During the same process, it was extended from just the rich, to poorer people, to slaves, to women, etc.

The point is that *we* are the intellects that are gradually figuring out how to work effectively with other people.
Like I said before, evo is about nature "creating" us over long periods of time from material things only. Where could you have gotten your belief that, for example, it is wrong to harm a child from? Evo. Could not have given you that belief because evo is about survival of the fittest.
So you simply do not understand what evolution claims. It is NOT survival of the fittest in the sense of strongest, fastest, etc. it is survival of the fittest in the sense of being able to produce the next generation and have them survive. That is a perfect basis for protecting children, now isn't it?
Survival of the fittest would tell you that you should kill a competitor's child so it couldn't compete with you for resources later.
And that happens in some species. But it tends to happen in species that are non-social. For *social* species like ourselves, it becomes advantageous to protect children of others in the society so they will protect yours: mutual advantage by good behavior.
We all have these kinds of beliefs "built in" us. You didn't have to specifically be taught that its wrong to kill children; you have always known that, right?
Funny, have you looked at the news lately? Many people seem to think it is perfectly fine to kill the children of political rivals. You know, the sins of the father fall to the children for seven generations, and stuff like that. While killing the children of the 'in' crowd is always wrong, often killing the children of the despised 'other' is not. It is a process of learning to consider *all* humans as part of the 'in' crowd.
Don't believe everything you read and hear from evolutionists without comparing it to the other side of the story and judging for yourself. I would say the same to anyone. Don't believe in anything without analyzing it thoroughly!
It would help if you actually knew what the theory of evolutions says rather than the propaganda given to you by your religious controllers.

I do understand evo. It is just unfounded. All of evolution is based on the idea that "since we can see change happen within species, it must be the way change happened from species on up through family, order, class, etc. as well." But there is simply no real evidence for this clear jump to conclusions. All that is ever observed is changes within species, called speciation. Have you ever checked out sites such as Creation Ministries International, Answers In Genesis, or the like? They can show how all of evo is mere speculation and blind-faith belief rather than science! Can you not see how much more sense it makes to believe in a loving God who made us just so we could have a relationship with Him?
I was right. You did sleep through science class.

Until you (or anyone else) can present indisputable evidence that your 'god' exists, non-belief is the default position.
