The - "stupid party"

Nov 16, 2012 | Posted by: Hedonist | Full story: www.washingtonpost.com

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal recently urged his Republican Party to " stop being the stupid party ." In order to win elections, he also advised Republicans to reject anti-intellectualism. While this sounds like an excellent step forward, it will depend on their interpretation of "stupid" and "anti-intellectualism." This is the same Jindal who, in ... (more)

Government already fills the void. That's why they deliberately left out religion from the Constitution, with the exception of guaranteeing freedom for all. In the meantime fundies today are fighting the Constitution to try to get their religion and only their religion the Government stamp of approval. At which point civil rights and civil liberties are lost.

How do you twist one to equate to the other? Saying something is "good for everybody" is a socialist concept, actually. Marxism is a minimalist concept in which you get what you "need." Two very different concepts. Marxism can only work in a society in which people don't "want" anything, including improving themselves. Socialism is a necessary evil at times, such as for police and fire threats. Now the "spread the wealth" concept is one that is not, admittedly, a good concept, it is, however, purely socialist as it still makes room for "wants" instead of limiting to only "needs."

Lastly, I said quote, Obama did not use a from Karl Marx, at best it's a similarly worded phrase, but more accurately it's a polar concept.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And all that believed were together, and had all things in common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Obama is right. When the middle class prospers, America
prospers. Things get done. Things get taken care of.

When there is an aristocracy that controls most
of the wealth, the middle class shrinks and the country
degrades, as it is doing right now.

Take yer choice.

Republicans-The stupid party.

Republicans-The hardline rehtoric party.

Republicans-The party that failed to make their case.

Republicans-The good old boy network party.

Republicans that failed to cite examples of things related to things like voter fraud or immigration reform. The Republican failed to explain themselves and the stereotype spoke for them.

If the Republican wanted voter id in all 50 states then they needed to cite multiple studies and individual cases of voter fraud, But instead you got the rehtoric like you need I'd at the airport to travel, go to school etc.

If the Republicans wanted immigration reform then tackle it from the criminal angle ie those who use false ids, social securit numbers, addresses etc should be prosecuted for criminal fraud etc then deport them based on their crime. The Republicans failed to push the employer of illegal issue as well. But 'self deportation'-wtf did they think would happen.

The Republicans failed because they didn't campaign on specifics and just rehtoric. Just because the psuedo Republican leaders/agenda pushers like Limbaugh say doesn't mean it is the agenda to follow or the way to explain it.

And I am NOT a Democrat.

Republicans-THE Stupid Party for the presidential election of 2012.

It's ok, your ego needs time to heal after the beating it received earlier this year in the famous Nuggin Logic thread:

http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/atheism/T...

At least I can admit to mistakes and that makes me a better person than you anyway.

You can't even provide me with something that is both real & unfalsifiable & you still don't understand what is meant by the burden of proof.

No surprises there considering you are an ignorant agnostic.

Really now? I've never seen you admit to a mistake once. Ever.

In fact you didn't admit to a simple thing like pouncing on the wrong guy on this thread, did you? Even that's too much for you, ya really think you could admit it when you make a complete f-up of things? Nah...
-Skeptic- wrote:

Ah, I see you're still lying. After all you totally misunderstood the burden of proof on the other thread (even though dictionary definitions were provided), AND both Chimney and I gave you examples of things that were real and unfalsifiable. Numerous times.

Must be nearly a year by now.

You STILL haven't been able to address it.

You just repeat your debunked arguments over and over, just like a good little fundie does.

But even IF I messed up, that still doesn't absolve you of your claim to be able to falsify non-falsifiable concepts.

You have no way out of that one.

And you're still making the same screw up today. Hence your demand for "something real and non-falsifiable" (which HAS been provided and left unaddressed) is a diversion, since you keep making a positive claim and presuming that it is the default answer until anyone can demonstrate otherwise. This is faulty reasoning and not scientific.

Unfortunately you have not been able to demonstrate my alleged ignorance. I HAVE been able to demonstrate yours though.

Remember you're just a fundie. No different from any other fundie we verbally eviscerate around here. Just because you're not a creo doesn't stop you from being just like 'em.(shrug)

I ain't going anywhere Skippy. I'll be here years from now, and so will the same arguments. The only question is whether you will ever finally be able to address them.

It's not looking promising so far.

It is more accurate to say that the Republican Party is evil and that Democrats are spineless.
