if you read closely the bible says it says their will be great earthquakes one after another.

Then it goes to explain food shortages..

I suppose one could argue that only a fool fools themself? However, I wouldn't judge a person too much on their religious beliefs or lack of any. That might not be keeping the subject of religious beliefs in proper proportion and perspective.

Lying is a deliberate attempt to mislead. They seem to fool themselves more than anyone else. Being mistaken (even wildly mistaken) isn't telling lies. Most Christians aren't liars in my view. Many just pay lip-service' to the superstitious beliefs and seem to think the positive aspects or religion,(like the charity work of its congregations), outweigh the negative,(ID/ Creationism/ sectarianism/ Islamism or Zionism/ etc, etc). They seem to me to underestimate the harm and dangers of superstition.
