I like the comment from "Thai Angst"

"God is the ultimate CEO. He gets all of the praise when things are good, but when things go awry the shareholders bear the blame."

Ordinarily, I strongly disapprove of name-calling and animosity, but in this case and anytime child victimization is perpetrated, advocated, or even tolerated, I tend to become very angry. If someone said to my face that a child rape was justified because the little one was evil, I would probably break his nose.

I was watching a documentary years ago, I forget the name. But some crazy Christian lady was so happy some kids died in an accident because she thought the purpose of their death was for her to convince their nonbelieving parents that God existed. The sick part is that she was so happy, she had a big smile on her face. It was really disgusting.

Christians always seem to be gloating about despair or pointing their finger at someone about how they are going to hel because they won't do what they think is right.

Well, not always. In my experience, that kind of behavior is actually somewhat unusual, which is what makes it newsworthy when it does happen. Most Christians' empathy is in good working order, and their first impulse is to comfort the grief-stricken. It's all too easy in this forum to forget that in most ways, our Christian neighbors are not all that different from us.

Correct. I've helped christian neighbours through bereavement and they don't seem to cope any better than non believers.

How do you know all this? Why do you respond if it's a waste of time, or are you just a busybody with a big nose?

You are right of course. For instance I don't even read the posts of "bob nobgobbler" and won't respond to "bsfoot".

But I sense this troll is trying to whip up support against the poster "KittenKoder", and I really hate to see bullying.

Peace.

This is a common belief among Christians, Jews and Muslims that when people from the wrong tribe of people were targeted attacked and raped by the righteous prophets of their religion the victims had it coming for being born into the wrong belief system.
Sad to say but this Shane just spoke to their core beliefs. It is a raw but honest assessment of how these people think. Killing babies was fine because they were evil babies as deemed by their god. Infanticide, slavery, rape and death are what their belief system is built upon.

Agreed. The god of the OT is a psychotic deliquent. The 'loving' one of the NT, although an improvement, is also bad as he/they? condemn most people to eternal torrure in mythical hell.

Well Jesus said he was not going to change one word from the prophet of old so if Christians believe he is the same deity or son of that deity he doesn't get a pass. Plus burning in hell is as you say a by far worse fate than even that of the OT.

I don't agree with you at all. I grew up in the deep south and that is not how they act. They are quite judgemental, narrow minded, busybody in what everyone is doing and if it is not ok with them according to their view of Christianity then people are harassed and ostracized in the town.
