... and the moral of the story is to not be queer, and if you have a queer kid, make sure that you don't act in such a way as to make the child suicidal... but let's be clear, here: I do not change morality based on my situation. Morality is written in stone, as Moses might say. The Ten Commandments and all they imply, you might say.

Suicide for the queer/parents freak-out phenomenon is going to go up if you keep encouraging kids to consider that filthy orientation as a legitimate choice.

morality is taught by the church... it does now come from god and it most certainly not written stone... that is, of course, unless you have it tattooed on your forehead.

oh yeah... and what is a 'filthy orientation'?

The true moral of the story would be not to listen to wolves in sheep's clothing such as yourself. Your "solution" is the very heart of the problem to begin with and I pray that you never come in contact with Lesbian and Gay children, your sickness of the soul is a danger to them...

Your post would indicate that you are a bigot.

Do you also consider the rest of the commandments as written in Exodus to be "carved in stone"? You stone your children to death when they sass you? You abide by all the commandments concerning your slaves? You kill all witches?

(You do, of course, also realize that it was NOT the commandments as documented in Exodus 20-22 that were actually carved in stone don't you? It was the 10 covenants documented in Exodus 34 -- that why it was called the ark of the covenant.)

LOL. Hateful lot, aren't they? And the excuses they bring forth to pardon their piss-ant behavior. Must suck to be a fundamentalist/evangleical pauline/christian. Haters, all of them.

While I am doing something that is wrong, it is easier for me to consider suicide.

Well, I was waiting for others to share here ... on a thread about why young people commit suicide. I'd think more of us would be interested in this, and offer what we have. So, we have a story of a young guy who had fundie parents who rejected his homosexuality and so he killed himself because of this rejection?

(1) Your *parents* have that much control over you, that they essentially decide if you kill yourself? I thought kids can have their ways of NOT being controlled by their parents.

(2) I thought when kids don't like what their parents think of them, they just go to their friends for the acceptance they want ...*like* how a kid can be clever enough to go to Mommy when Daddy says no?

(3) If you feel they are so unloving, then why would you care what they think? If people don't feel I care about them, they just don't bother with me. And if we were *evolved*, then Christian fundies are a product of ...

* e * v * o * l * u * t * i * o * n *,

aren't we (o: So, where's the effort to prove we are under the dictatorship of genes? Gays are dictated by genes, but not the religious people?

(4) But ... another thing > I have had times when people criticized me and rebuked me and did not accept what I said. I felt they were rejecting me. At times, I have considered killing myself because of feeling illegitimated by my :o) mommy (o:... and I mean while I was in my *fifties* > (come on! give me a break! but this *is* true) > > > but I have been mixing with people and finding out that if you disagree with me or say I am wrong and criticize me, this does not necessarily mean you are rejecting me and hate me. You "may" care about me enough to make an effort to communicate with me.

(5) But there are teenagers who when they can't have their own way will say, "You don't love me, you HATE me !!! " When we are wrong, there are ways we react and behave and it is easy to take things the wrong way.

When I had to commit my partner to a mental hospital for attempted suicide the sheriff explained to me there are three types of suicide:
Those who say nothing-they just do it.
Those who think they do and when the discover they don't after all they call 911.
Those who use it to control others: Spouse/lover/family. Ultimate emotional blackmail.

Yes, people are interested in this

but your particular comments demonstrate such a lack of understanding and compassion, that even I don't know where to start to correct you.

Maybe we need laws saying that talibangelical, fundie, bigot xstains can't adopt, can't serve openly in the armed forces, can't marry whom they wish, but can be fired or denied housing simply on the basis of their sick "religious lifestyle choice." Let some of them be driven to suicide by pogroms and discrimination.

As though these "faith biased" xstains really adhere in a literal way to what the Buy-bull says. They're selective in their reading of it, don't know what the text says in its original languages, and merely use their lies regarding the Buy-bull in an attempt to justify their bigotries.
