I'm always amused at what offends or amuses others. I had a friend named Czerniejewsky, pronounced "churn-YES-key," and although some of my other friends were horrified when I explained that the difference between the name as spelled and as pronounced was that the Jew was silent, all of my Jewish friends though it was hilarious. Of course, most of the folks who were horrified didn't HAVE any Jewish friends...

He should be told: "Your job is to drive the bus, not judge the adverts. Either do what you're paid to do, or furk off because there's plenty of people out of work at the moment who'd like to replace you."

Well I am a Christian and proudly let people know I am and what I stand for.
But I would drive the bus. To refuse to do so would only make me look out of touch with the world and totally intolerant of others. Christians need to get a clue!!!

I will admit that I am a Christian - however, my boyfriend is an atheist, and I have to admit that some of the arguments he has shown me make a lot of sense. It is hard to argue faith against logic sometimes.
I am uncertain as to the laws in Britain that relate to this issue...here in America we are supposed to have freedom of speech, which would (theoretically) allow atheists to post things like this on our public bus systems. But somehow, I don't see that happening here in the near future.

The hospital I work for takes alot of the criminals from the county jail, which is close by. I can't stand the thought of working on someone that has been found guilty of child rape. But, I grit my teeth and do it. otherwise I lose my job.

I encourage you to listen to and read from some of the Christian scholars of today and see how they go about their apologetic task... i.e. RC Sproul and John McArthur. You could also read some of Lee Strobel's books. They're very interesting and can help bolster your faith. Also, don't forget to stay in the scriptures... too many Christians today forget to read the very source and foundation of Christianity...the Bible itself. God bless!

LOL - I have done a lot of studies, and the works of McArthur in particular I am familiar with. I used to read my Bible on a regular basis (my favorite passage happens to be the one most women hate the most...Proverbs 31:10-31). Right now, the main studying I am doing is to research the "contradictions" in the scriptures - and I do most of that work on-line.

My statement is that, even though I disagree or have "moral issues" with certain things does not stop me from helping people. Perhaps I didn't relay it properly. How would you deal with a situation like that? As far as my av? Ever heard of slipknot? I happen to be a big fan. The headline is a song by Zakk Wylde. No need to be afraid, it's just music

My boyfriend/Dominate is also in the medical profession, and he has similar view to yours (he's a paramedic). Afraid I am too tired to make more sense than that...it is past 11pm here, and I have to be up at six in the morning to get kids off to school. So, goodnight, and I hope to chat with you another time!

I went halfway through paramedic school before I figured out how much money they make. lol. Decided to stay in RT school. Good luck with the kiddoes. Good night
