Only 11% of the population are atheist or agnostic. Hinduism and Vajrayana Buddhism has existed in the Philippines for centuries. Old habits die hard. Rocks of ruck, pilgrim, you're going to need it. LOL!

I think religion will continue to decline in the face of education and science.

Religion = superstition
Theology = mythology

Superstitions will be ever more discredited, including the ones regarding Abrahamic god(s).

The only questions are: how long it will take and will the USA be seen as a leader or a follower.

Wow are your numbers and assertions off. The Philippines are by far more Christian and Islamic before that they were predominantly animist before the Muslims arrived. Hinduism and Buddhism are barely noticed there.

Better luck next time retard.

Anyways the free thinkers there certainly have an uphill battle and even face the threat of violence give these brave free thinkers a moment of your time.

It's going to be a long painful battle. People have been suckered from generations of indoctrination.

Even if they are able to see reason that threat of hell from their childhood is a terrifying anchor for many.

But for those who want to say Christianity brings out the best in people, I suggest looking at the mess the Philippines is in and the Philippines are about 99% believers the overwhelming majority Christian followed up by Islam and a whiff of some other religions. They are so dedicated to Jesus they throw festivals sometimes weekly in his or some other biblical hero's honor. That's right church and praying isn't enough for them they even crucify themselves in honor of Jesus!

Their leaders must not only be believers but deeply religious an where has this got them? Trash everywhere on the streets heaped up or flying around, deforestation at an alarming rate which leads to devastation during the stormy season. Few jobs to go around but abortion and contraception is nearly impossible to obtain because Jesus doesn't like that! So now there are all these poor children eating trash with no hope whatsoever of their life improving.

When you bring these problems up the leaders often say we will pray to Jesus and await his guidance!

Even there the people are growing tired of the mess. The Filipino free thinker groups there are debating and showing people that two hands actually helping are better than 1000 hands clasped in prayer.

No one is a free thinker who expects conformity. Atheists follow the dictates of their cult therefore they cannot call themselves free thinkers.

How is zombie Christ treating you? Atheists do not believe in your silly unproven deities but beyond that we are the truest definition of free thinkers as we branch off in thousands of different opinions on a host of subjects from personal to political.

Unlike you brainwashed retards looking for zombie Jesus to return after 2000 years!

Lol!

<quoted text>
"In agony or danger, no nature is atheist. The mind that knows not what to fly to, flies to God.- Henry More

"As a former soldier, I am delighted that our veterans are sponsoring a movement to increase our awareness of God in our daily lives. In battle, they learned a great truth-that there are no atheists in the foxholes. They know that in time of test and trial, we instinctively turn to God for new courage. Whatever our individual church, whatever our personal creed, our common faith in God is a common bond among us." - Dwight D. Eisenhower

Be sure to verify these quotes now! It will give you something to do besides spreading your amoral hatred and bigotry.

Anyways being a free thinker in the Philippines is a tricky proposition because of the control the church has. These brave young men and women face daily threats on their safety and lives.

Still they went from a small group of 4 to opening new branches in different locations across the islands. People are slowly realizing they need a separation of church and state but the church isn't happy about that.

Wait a minute, you're confused. If atheism is not an organization, or a religion but a mere lack of belief in God, why are your pals trying to win converts in the Phillipines?

What does this have to do with converting the natives? You and your pals are doomed to fail. You've got nothing to sweeten the pot! Religion has the promise of heaven for living a moral life. Atheisim offers nothing more than existential nihilism for living an amoral life followed by extinction. Even a primitive villager would find nothing of value in your brand of free thinking snake oil.

An honest reality beats a warm delusion any day.

Unless of course, what you perceive as an honest reality is actually a delusion.

A warm delusion is always better than a cold one.
