The ugly bible did not exist in any form, before about 500BCE or so.

<quoted text>When it was fabricated out of other religious legends, to fit the emerging Jewish Priesthood--they deliberately wrote it to seem... old. This happened either during or shortly after the Babylonians had control of the region.

Lie. Nothing in your ugly bible is original material. Nothing.
<quoted text>
True-- just as the ugly bible is based off of earlier, more reasonable religions. The bible really did dumb down most of it... and made it uglier too...
<quoted text>
Bullsh7t. You worship your bible as if it were a god.
That much is quite evident from your posts.
"No--this is not misunderstanding... this is studying... HISTORY.
The ugly bible did not exist in any form, before about 500BCE or so."

Explain the evidence. The Bible is books, and consisted as a set of books written throughout young earths time.

"When it was fabricated out of other religious legends, to fit the emerging Jewish Priesthood--they deliberately wrote it to seem... old. This happened either during or shortly after the Babylonians had control of the region."

Why do you know this, you fool? The Bible is not from other religions.
----------

Are you refering to Judaism? Judaism stems from the early priesthood, and what the Jews believed in, and then beliefs were added that weren't true about God after christianity(Judaism only supports the old testament, not the new), and this evolved into judaism.

Islam is based off Judaism.

So, not at all is Christianity based off other religions.

If the Earth is only 6K years old, how is it that many civilizations and religions are millions of years old?

The earth is billions of years old.

Since this is well proven by science?

It's so easy to assume one knows what an ideological adversary believes, but there is some justification for that when the latter is secretive about them. I think it would be useful if more of us on both sides of the basic disagreement between believers and nonbelievers were forthright and forthcoming about those believes. does Largelanguage believe in a young earth? I don't know--I haven't read anything from him about that one way or the other. KK assumes that he does, and he hasn't corrected her, but that's hardly definitive, is it?

What do you believe, LL. Tell us, please so that we don't have to guess.

Egyptian culture predates your 6000 year figure.

Chinese culture predates your 6000 year figure.

There are quite a number of ancient cultures in North & South America, all of which are much earlier than 6000 years.

Conclusion: the earth is much, much older.

Your bible is false.

I believe the earth is around 7'000 to 6'000 years old. I believe homosexuality is damaging, I disagree with what feminists say, and I believe feminists simply hate men, when feminists are trying to make it look the other way round. I believe gun control is wrong. Those are some of my views.

Is that it? Don't you have any beliefs about God, the Bible, religion in general, the nature of Nature... your credo seems more than a little incomplete.

I don't actually have much religious views, except that God exists. I do have beliefs in the nature of nature, too many to mention.

If you are not clear about what you do or don't believe, your critics will make assumptions based on their experiences with others who have made similar assertions. Moreover, whether you intended to or not, you have joined a community of writers. That's the difference between a forum and a chat room. As such, efforts to fully and clearly explain, even at great length, raises your stature even among those who disagree with you.

On another thread, my questions prompted one of the less respected participants to write his best posts ever (in my opinion). You could do the same, and in so doing, you would elevate the quality of your interactions with the forum as a whole. Writing a well organized and comprehensive credo is a lot of work and presents more in one post than some readers can take in, so most of us do parcel it out as pertinent issues arise, but in doing so, the writers who do so in depth contribute more and stimulate better responses.
