My blog posts on religion have attracted a lot of controversy. Religious people are annoyed by my claim that belief in God will go the way of horse transportation, and for much the same reason, specifically an improved standard of living.

Your creator is a really sh*t designer.
If your god exists, it is incompetent.
It is very likely therefore that there is no designer.
<quoted text>
Yes you can criticise about the Chair, having no knowledge about how chairs are made.

You can criticise about skyscrapers how they are made.

You can criticise Jet Engines about "what hell of a noise they make"?

You can criticise about any thing and every thing in the world...

But if you are unable to make any thing better than what they are made, your criticism has no value.

PS:

To have a "bad quality product" in the market, when better quality products are available is exempt from this list.

The question is about the idea and the way it is to be done and how reliable it is.

To compare any man made gadget or design against what is created by God is sheer madness and every one knows it.

I was watching NHK, the Japanese TV channel at breakfast. There was a documentary on a Shinto Shrine. There were monks, worshippers, people making prayers to guardian spirits. People would pray to wish for good luck. They were presenting offerings and prayers at the hall of worship. Some would put items in wishing barrels and put these out to sea. These were suppose to answer prayers and bring good fortune. They would be protected by guardian spirits.

According to you "prophets" were sent to every land to preach Islam. I guess the "prophets" sent to China and Japan messed up, cause their religion is way different to the desert myths of Moses, Jesus and Muhammed. That to me is absolute tock solid proof that religions are man made.

Many "nations" lost the message of their prophets and / or had them so much changed that there are very little traces left of original religions and they do not even know the name of their prophets.

China, Japan, India and many African nations come into this category.

Why, even Christianity is a scant shadow of what jesus taught. His teachings have been overshadowed by that 'Super Apostle" St. Paul.

Jesus never spoke about Trinity, or Original Sin or equating himself with God etc.

But since the mission of these prophets was ending when the Last and Final prophet appeared into the world, that is why his book and his teachings were preserved in the "most authentic" way that could be imagined.

What "elaborate arrangement" you saw in that Japanese temple can be seen in Indian temples and even in Christin churches, how carefully they dress and the music and candles and the perfume, and very elaborate and well planned orchestra etc.

Compared to all that, Muslims just stand in rows upon rows and listen to the recitation of Holy Quran thru the lips of Imam, who is leading the prayer and there is no music and singing.

For people who want "real spirituality" this is the way, you are alone with your God, listening to His words and nothing to distract you.

This is your choice, you take what you like, there is no compulsion in religion.

That is wishful thinking on your part. It is also disrespectful of other religions.

If you view alternative belief systems as equally valid as your own, then maybe people here will cut you some slack.

These alternative religions evolved separately to your own. This is why people in the far east generally, do give a fig about the Abrahamic beliefs.

If you think about it clearly you can conclude that the only rational position is to be outside of all the religions altogether.

No "God" would teach different groups of people contradictory faiths. And no "God" is going to let people go off in separate directions. For thousands of years people have been in conflict and war over religion. You would expect a compassionate Deity to step in, and say "Hey guys, religion X, Y and Z are wrong, you should be following Q". Yet silence...

Regardless of the religious beliefs of Stalin, Hitler etc. The fact is that the hypothetical Deity does nothing to stop wars. Clearly such a being if it exists is completely inert and inactive. Further evidence supporting the viewpoint that gods do not exist.

For chrissake Lincoln you're wrong on almost everything!

There was a marked increase in the attacks on the churches of the USSR throughout the 1930’s. Communism had taught people that religion was "the opium of the masses" (Karl Marx) and church leaders were arrested and churches physically shut down. Stalin could not allow a challenge to his position and anybody who worshipped God was a challenge as the "personality cult" was meant for people to worship Stalin.

For a short time under Lenin, women had enjoyed a much freer status in that life for them was a lot more liberal when compared to the ‘old days’.

Among other things, divorce was made a lot more easy under Lenin. Stalin changed all this. He put the emphasis on the family. There was a reason for this.

Many children had been born out of marriage and Moscow by 1930 was awash with a very high number of homeless children who had no family and, as such, were a stain on the perfect communist society that Stalin was trying to create.

Was Stalin a disaster for Russia?

• the country did become a major industrial nation by 1939 and her progress was unmatched in the era of the Depression in America and western Europe where millions were unemployed.

• those workers who did not offend the state were better off than under the reign of the tsar.

• Russia’s military forces were benefiting from her industrial growth.

• there was a stable government under Stalin.

• people had access to much better medical care some 10 years before the National Health Service was introduced in GB.

BUT:

• millions had died in famine after the failed experiment of collectivisation.

• Russia’s agriculture was at the same level in 1939 as in 1928 with a 40 million increased population.

• Russia had become a ‘telling’ society. The secret police actively encouraged people to inform on neighbours, work mates etc. and many suffered simply as a result of jealous neighbours/workers.

Also many of Russia's most talented people had been murdered during the Purges of the 1930's. Anyone with talent was seen as a threat by the increasingly paranoid behaviour associated with Stalin and were killed or imprisoned (which usually lead to death anyway). The vast Soviet army was a body without a brain as most of her senior officers had been arrested and murdered during the Purges.

You should give up trying to blame atheists for all the problems your religions have created.

He was already caught red handed stealing the writings of others passing them off as his own.

He was proven wrong on his Stalin, Hitler rambling months ago but seeing as how he is unable to come up with anything on his own but only steal from others he won't be able to come up with a response. It seems he relies on recycling other's posts as his English is questionable.

You are correct in your assertion sadly that one is incapable of an actual back and forth dialog.

Sadly his historical inaccuracies have been pointed out before, he is actually just recycling his old posts that he stole before. He will not have a rebuttal to your historical facts.

Not to mention Stalin to this day is adored in Russia and is even a saint in his beloved Orthodox Church.

As has been stated before, none of Stalin's crimes against humanity was done in the name of atheism nor is a single atheist on here quoting Stalin in any debates on why they are an Atheist and that Christian fundie knows it.

Denial of history is common when confronted with crimes of dictators using atheism.

Militant atheism was an integral part of the French Revolution, Soviet Union under Lenin and Stalin, Red China's Cultural Revolution..... etc etc

Stay in Denial?

Your inability to comprehend English, funny.

Your atrociously bad grammar, funny.

Your inability to show where any of these leaders committed these crimes against humanity in the name of atheism, funny.

Your ignorance in historical maters, funny.

All of your poorly worded arguments here have been repeatedly, factually refuted. Sadly you are unable to comprehend because you do not speak or read English well enough.

What is your native language? Perhaps we can get these debunked claims of yours posted in your native language so you can understand.
