My blog posts on religion have attracted a lot of controversy. Religious people are annoyed by my claim that belief in God will go the way of horse transportation, and for much the same reason, specifically an improved standard of living.

As the Muqster has ignored your Q for several days, I shall answer for him. FGM is not part of the religious teaching of islam, but an extra in some african countries. However male circumcision is part of their teaching. Ouch!! The religious mind is strange indeed.

The Quran is just another example of retards and their retarded god.

Here's a funny but true tale in the Quran. Why did God electrocute Moses to death? So he could bring him back to life and demand Moses thank him for that!

No... Seriously.

When people circumcise they are telling their god he did a bad job.

Morality is class bound. For instance the morality of the stone age is different from the society of the slaveowners and in feudalism and capitalism. Socialism has turned to a different morality.
Atheism is amoral.

It is not just an amazing coincidence that every Communist of historical note publicly declared his atheism. There have been twenty-eight countries in world history that can be confirmed to have been ruled by regimes with avowed atheists at the helm. These twenty-eight historical regimes have been ruled by eighty-nine atheists, of whom more than half have engaged in democidal acts of the sort committed by Stalin and Mao. The total body count for the ninety years between 1917 and 2007 is approximately 148 million dead at the bloody hands of fifty-two atheists, three times more than all the human beings killed by war, civil war, and individual crime in the entire twentieth century combined! The historical record of collective atheism is thousands of times worse on an annual basis than Christianity’s worst and most infamous bloodbath, the Spanish Inquisition.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote on the great disaster of Russia:

"I have spend well-nigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies, and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval. But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than this: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened."

“Yes, I remember him as a baby” says the other mother cheerfully.

"He's a martyr now though" the first mother confides.

"Oh, so sad dear” says the other.

“And this is my second son, Khalid. He would have been 21.”

“Oh, I remember him,” says the other happily,”he had such curly hair when he was born.”

“He's a martyr too” says the first mother quietly.

“Oh, gracious me ...” says the other.

“And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He would have been 18”, she whispers.

"Yes" says the friend enthusiastically,”I remember when he first started school”

“He's a martyr also,” says the first mother, with tears in her eyes.

After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and, searching for the right words, says .... "They blow up so fast, dear, don't they?"

A woman has the images of her favorite sex symbols - Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise - tattooed to the insides of her thighs. When the artist is finished, the woman looks down and expresses her dismay at the poor job that he has done.

The artist points out that she is in no position to judge his work, since she is seeing it upside down. So they agree to let a third party – the first one to walk by the tattoo shop - be the final arbiter.

That just happens to be a street drunk, who is stumbling by at that moment. They beckon the drunk enter, and to please try to identify the celebrities between the woman’s legs. He agrees.

After a few seconds of staring, reeling, and squinting the drunk announces,“I can't say who the two on the ends are, but the one in the middle is the spittin’ image of Willie Nelson.”

Correct.

"Amoral vs. immoral- Immoral things are bad, and amoral things are either neutral from a moral perspective or simply removed from moral considerations." http://grammarist.com/usage/amoral-immoral/

Christianity is immoral.

Your religion, which is grounded in a fraud, fosters fear, guilt, shame, division and strife. It teaches man to fear and hate his world, and to despise his own flesh. It teaches him to crawl on his knees begging for forgiveness for being human, and to see decay everywhere he looks.

Totalitarian ideologies like Stalinism and Maoism are simply religions like Islam and Christianity, but with human gods. They are all cults of personality, where worship of the leader and devotion to his pronouncements is demanded. They are equally authoritarian and intolerant, and each have long histories of genocide.

Secular humanism, which is only guilty of giving the world modern liberal democracies, human rights, and science, repudiates it all:

"We affirm humanism as a realistic alternative to theologies of despair and ideologies of violence and as a source of rich personal significance and genuine satisfaction in the service to others."

You say that like it's no big deal. It's a perfect illustration that a Christian upbringing is no impediment to torture. Likewise with the witch burnings at Salem, and the Nazi holocaust. These all occurred in countries that were populated almost exclusively by Christians.

Why? Two reasons.

First, Christians are taught that whatever their god says, does or commands is moral. If you can convince a Christian that his god commands him to enucleate the eyes of puppies with a fork, they'll do it and call it perfect love.

Second, Christians are desensitized by a bible that catalogs its god's genocides and other atrocities one after another, chapter after chapter. They are taught that suffering is their god's will, that man is weak and dependent on the god, and that their god will change things if it wants to, so they accept almost anything.

This combinations of ideas has been devastating throughout history. Because of that attitude, if you were a Jew in Nazi Germany, and the only thing standing between you and the gas chambers was the quality of Christian morality and character, you didn't have much chance. If you were waiting for these tens of millions of church trained Christians to do what Jesus taught and stand up and say, "This is wrong! Stop, Herr Hitler!" you were a dead Jew.

Have you ever heard or read, "Kill them all and let God sort them out"? Where do you suppose that idea came from?

Humanism has no such failures.

LOL.

I've got a good sex doll cultural reference for you.

is a one minute excerpt from the HBO series "Six Feet Under," which was about an American family that ran a funeral home. Every episode of this show began with a death that usually connected to the episode, and this is the opening death scene from one episode.

Let me set this up for you: We see a truck loaded with helium filled sex dolls being delivered by a couple of teenage boys to the venue of a porn industry awards banquet scheduled for later that night.

Unfortunately, the boys aren't paying attention to the road, and have to slam on their brakes, releasing all of the blowup dolls from the truck into the air.

A block or two away is a priggish Christian woman listening to Christian radio while driving her car, which has an "I break for the rapture" bumper sticker on it. She sees the helium dolls rising, mistakes it for the rapture, and hilarity ensues.

It's a great joke.

I think my version needs updating, though. Pitt and Cruise might be a little passé in 2013.
