Atheism to Defeat Religion by 2038

Apr 25, 2012 Full story: Psychology Today 22,993

My blog posts on religion have attracted a lot of controversy. Religious people are annoyed by my claim that belief in God will go the way of horse transportation, and for much the same reason, specifically an improved standard of living.

C. How Quran “confirms and protects” scriptures came before it.

10. I will give you some example, how Quran “confirms” and “protects” the Scripture that came before him.

a. Example of Creation of Heavens and Earth:

Both Quran and Bible agree that God created heavens and earth is six days (what days means in Bible and Quran is a different topic).

But Bible says that “God rested on seventh day and Hallowed it”…. But Quran says “We created heavens and earth is six days and no fatigue touched Us”

You can see the “confirmation and protection” part here.

b. Story of Adam and Eve:

Both Bible and Quran say that Adam and eve disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden fruit, that is the confirmation part.

But Bible does not mention anything about Adam asking forgiveness from God (which gave the idea of “original sin” to some people after thousands of years of the event)….. But Quran says that both Adam and Eve repented and God forgave them.

c. Story of Jesus’ creation:

Bible and Quran agree that Jesus was born without any human father….. But Biblical writers go and claim that Jesus is Son of God, but Quran denies and says God has no sons, no daughters and no wives.

You can see the “confirmation and protection”

There are hundreds of examples like this, which shows how Quran confirms and protects Scriptures that came before it.

D. Quran “borrows” from Barbaric Laws of Moses:

11. Quran does not “copy and confirm” all the laws of Bible. It only confirms which are for all ages and time. But it modifies most of which have overgrown their effectiveness.

12. Yes it confirms stoning of adulterer and adulteress, but it asks for “four eye witness” and relaxes the law for unmarried boys and girls.

13. Anyone comparing laws of Quran and Bible would realize that Islamic laws are a “balance between two extremes”…. On one extreme is Jewish law and on another side is the Christian Law (which is zero law in fact!!)

E. Concept of Hell is most disgusting:

14. You might find it unreasonable and disgusting,
but it would not cause heavens and hell to disappear!!

15. Some one may “think” that humans having two hands and two feet is “laughable and disgusting and very disgusting”.

May be it is, but humans “shall be born” with two hands and Two feet!!

The same is the case with Heavens and Hell. When the Creator Says that they exist, then they do exist!!

We should try to not do anything that send us to Hell, because “our Understanding can wait”, once we are removed from it!!

What “use” it would be to you, if you “get convinced that They are real” after going there?

So take care my Dear Friend while you have time!!

And what about non-believers, atheists even, who want their boys circumcised?
I can also think of plenty of instances where the taxpayers' money is wasted; want to talk about that?
Who gives a shit what the parent wants the child's genitalia to look like. It is only the adult who should make such a decision for themselves. Consider the horror stories, connected to these barbaric practices. Boys who have had the entire penis sliced off by accident, then the doctors who put choose to cover by putting "female" on the birth certificate. Or the babies dying of hepatitis, which was contracted from the Rabbi's who suck the blood from the infants bleeding penis. These things happen, and people like you who happily accept it, help keep it happening. Outrage is the only proper reaction.

It's the typical Muslim use lots of words but don't actually say anything. Some would say people being born with two arms and two legs is disgusting? Lmfao!

It all boils down to this. Muslims believe in the Quran because they were forced to do so under threat of death for so many generations.

MUQ: "Both Quran and Bible agree that God created heavens and earth is six days (what days means in Bible and Quran is a different topic)."

They both say the same thing, because the Bible is the main source document for the copy and paste job known as the Quran.

Let me illustrate:

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night." Genesis 1

"Praise be God, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord." Quran
"And We appoint the night and the day two portents. Then We make dark the portent of the night, and We make the portent of the day sight-giving, that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the computation of the years, and the reckoning; and everything have We expounded with a clear expounding." Quran

"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1

"And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water." Quran

"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day." Genesis 1

"Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?" Quran

"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself," Genesis 1

"And the earth - We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing." Quran

and so on.

continued/ And we all know that the earth was NOT formed in 6 days 6000 years ago. Which proves that BOTH the Bible and the Quran are not inspired, or dictated by any supernatural entity.

They are simply based on Jewish myths and legends. The better stories in the Quran are taken directly from the Bible, stories about Moses, Joseph and his dreamcoat, Jonah and the whale, stories about Jesus etc. These stories are retold and given a different spin, but are essentially the same. The more bizarre stories in the Quran such as the she camel, flying horse, 72 virgin, etc, are what Muhammed takes from Arab fables. Muq, anyone not in the religious bubble of delusion can understand this.

Which “Sword” the Prophet Used against his enemies: Part-63

Our prophet was not only a preacher. He was also an able administrator and a just ruler.

Those who have experience of administration know when to act tough and when to act with leniency. A King, Ruler and President knows which criminal to pardon and which to get executed. Those who do not have this experience may only speak in idealistic terms. Such idealistic persons are never able to administer any country or state with efficiency.

Beside so many “Swords” which we have mentioned earlier on this thread. He also had a sword of steel. When no other sword worked and the only solution was to wield the sword of steel, he used that also.

Any one who has read his biography knows that how reluctantly he had to use it. We present below, some of these cases, where prophet had to use the sword of steel.

The case of : MUSAILAMAH “AL KADDAB”(THE BIG LIAR) FROM TRIBE OF BANI HANIFA

When prophet declared his mission, no one in Arabia knew about Prophet hood, revelation and guidance coming from heavens etc. These things were new to people living in Arabia, that is why his message looked and sounded so strange to people of Makkah in particular and Arabia in general.

But due to his perseverance and his constancy and his efforts, every one in Arabia came to know about these things and after the conquest of Makkah, his message reached to every part of Arabia.

His success put ideas into minds of people who wanted to duplicate his mission and therefore many false prophet stood up, during the last few years of his life. These false prophets caused a wave of apostasy in whole of Arabia when the prophet breathed his last.

His companions and especially Abu Bakr the First Caliph of Islam had to spend his utmost effort and strength of character to silence these false prophets and apostates of Arabia.

First and foremost of these false prophets was MUSAILAMAH nicknamed “Al KADDAB (the Big liar)” by prophet himself.

MUSAILAMAH belonged to the tribe of BANI HANIFA that lived in Najd areas of Arabia. His tribe were known for their strength and their fighting skills and ferocity. When the delegation of BANU HANIFA came to Madina in 9AH, MUSAILAMAH also was one of the members.

They spoke to prophet about Islam and MUSAILAMAH told prophet that if he would nominate him his successor, he would become Muslim.

Prophet was having a stick in his hand and he said “He would not even give him this stick as a condition to becoming Islam”. The mission returned empty handed.

MUSAILAMAH wrote a letter to prophet after reaching his home saying “Allah has made me a prophet as He made you a prophet. He has divided the land of Arabia between us. But QURAISH (tribe of prophet) are a treacherous people”.

The prophet replied as follows:

“From Mohammad the Prophet of Allah to MUSAILAMAH AL KADDAB

Peace be on to who accepted guidance. Afterwards “The earth belongs to Allah and He bestows it to whom He Wishes”

MUSAILAMAH After death of prophet:

When prophet died, MUSAILAMAH declared his mission with force and most people of his and surrounding tribes accepted his mission, and turned back from Islam.

Abu Bakr the first Caliph of Islam sent Muslim armies to all parts of Arabia to suppress those false prophets and people who had become apostate.

He dispatched IKRIMAH towards BANI HANIFA, but he failed in his mission as the enemy was too strong. Abu Bakr sent some enforcement but they also could not defeat him. Finally Abu Bakr sent KHALID BIN WALEED to MUSAILAMAH asking him to finish his menace.

Muslims under KHALID had to fight a tough battle MUSAILAMAH and his tribe. The battle was harshest which Muslims had to face so far. More than 700 Companions of prophet lost their lives in this battle that included more than 70 Muslims who had memorized the Quran in full.

MUSAILAMAH himself was slain by WAHSHI, the same Abyssinian slave, who had killed HAMZA the uncle of prophet in the battle of OHUD, thus compensating somewhat for that dastardly act.

Such was the case of MUSAILAMAH the False prophet, do did do immense damage to Islam and Muslims in his short mission. Nonetheless, his name and deed are to be found only in Islamic History books and there is no one who takes or remembers his name any more.

Mine too....eventually. I was older, asked to teach a class and therefore began to delve more deeply in the whys and wherefores.

I had more questions than answers but I still believed that the stories (esp. NT) were good moral lessons for children. Bleh, I should have showed old episodes of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and Captain Kangaroo....and promoted 'stranger danger', birth control and sex ed for the older ones.

Why not take it "literally"? The life in hereafter shall be both Physical and Spiritual.
There will be plenty for both parts.
Sexual desire and Polygamy is the "natural state" of any healthy male on this earth, the same shall be in the hereafter. A number 72 is not the "maximum" it would be "at least"!!
The "natural taste" of a good women on earth is to be linked with "one man" through out his life and the same shall be her status in the hereafter also.
A man who has more than one wife is not looked down on this earth, while any woman who has "more than one husband" is termed "whore" on this earth. Why should it be any different in the hereafter.
Why people should try to "down play" to discuss the needs of human body in the paradise?
Quran is very specific about it, it mentions the need of human body.... and then adds the Spiritual Bliss they shall have.
After mentioning details of some of the delights it ends with 'And Some thing More from Ourselves"!!
What is this?
Prophet said 'Some thing which no eyes ever saw, which no ears ever heard and with no Mind ever imagined"!!
Such is the description of Paradise in Quran ... Covering both Physical and Spiritual Bliss of the Highest Order!!
You're brainwashed just like everyone else that believes in religion.

This is an atheist forum where people aren't brainwashed and don't believe in things that aren't really there.

You wil have more success going to a religious forum, where more people will think (and I use the word loosely) like you and you might be able to convert some more people as equally stupid as yourself.

So the Quran writers thousands of years later were able to ad some nonsense to the bible verses. So what?
MUQ wrote:

Ans.
If after Quoting Quranic verses about creation side by side with Biblical verses, you "deduce" that Quran "copied" it from Bible, then I can only say "You are not a fit person to compare scriptures at all".
The "exactitude" of Bible is missing in Quran!! The language is "confused and allegorical" in Quran as compared to 6, 24 hours period mentioned in Bible.
As per Quranic description, heavens and skies were being made and developed "in parallel and not is series as Bible says".
The comparison between Bible and Quranic stories is as I said "between Chalk and Cheese"
And in the end the question remains, if our prophet could do it, why no Arab or Non Arab was "ever able to repeat it"?
Does it not takes your head to a swim?
