God is our creator. If you cannot love the very one who created you in his image, how can you even love at all?

Why your god and why this creation myth? There are other choices.

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.
- Stephen Roberts

Secondly, love in not dependent and on your debt or guilt due in payment to your existence. Many people are fully capable of love while not loving their parents.

Surely you're not implying that no atheist is capable of love? Atheists are perfectly normal people, they just don't believe in an deities.

If you can prove he exists, created us, and is not the monster the bible makes him out to be, we might love him. Until then, if you don't love the flying spaghetti monster, how can >you< claim to love anyone?

Here's my take, plain and simple.

To start off, atheists don't believe in God. So God is not our creator.

Simple enough.

Love is very broad and has more than one form. I love the winter time. I love my family. I love my pet dog. I love women. This doesn't mean that I "love" them all in the same way. My love for winter is brought on by my extreme joy for the snow, skiing, and sledding. I keep my family close because we have a strong connection. My pet dog always makes me smile with a simple wag of her tail. I find women attractive, and I have the potential to marry someone (who I do not know) and have a strong, intimate connection with her.
Love has more than one form. It's a huge blanket term, and cannot be simply outlined as one meaning.

I doubt that one would Love "God" in the same way they would love a wife or love their family.

The one's I've seen are self fulfilled prophecies. It's usually God saying something that He sets in motion anyways. The ones I've seen aren't really much of a prophecy as much as they are God telling people what He wants to do in the future.

You mean like the ones about jesus returning to earth within the lifetimes of people who saw him? Do you want to see those prophesies, with citations to chapter and verse again? After all, they seem to have led to your fleeing at least one other thread.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I feel some degree of love for just about every sentient being that I come across. (including dogs).

OK. Here is a simple request --Name 12 prophecies that have been fulfilled by your Buy-Bull, and how they personally affect me today. How do they affect my daily "computing" (on my personal computer)- see how simple I made it for you?......

Hey! Dumbsh1t!

My MOTHER was my creator, with a little help from my dad.

Your hate-god had nothing to do with it.

And yes, I do love both my parents quite well enough for me being a mere mortal.

I love, because I choose to.

What's YOUR excuse for hating, hategodbot?

Agreed: the FSM is a much more worthy deity to the name "god".

I understand how you can feel that way. I just uncovered some books of mine, of card manipulations by Erdnase and Hugard, which I am going to peruse. I got so interested, in just looking them over, I ordered 6 decks of Bicycle cards online. I think card magic can be on a certain level as music is. Both take infinite practice to perfect.

to ask such a question tells me more about you then you realize. What it tells me is very sad.

Show us evidence of your God that people of other faiths and of no faith would all agree is evidence of your God.

Don't worry. We'll wait.
