Not necessarily. Uncertainty can attract interest and assessment of the unknown.

Can you honestly make the absolute statement "God does not exist"?
You CAN accuratly state that god is a myth.

But yet you smart ass atheists CANNOT prove there IS no God. You come up with the garbage that the burden of proof is on believers. BS! YOU prove there is no God.
Why bother? I don't need any more evidence to ignore your religion than you do to ignore all of the others, and faithers are impervious to evidence. The Christian god has been disproven, yet Christianity lingers on like an unwelcome house guest that won't leave: http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/atheism/T...

So once again - why bother? What use would another proof be?

It's been confirmed again. NASA inserted its robotic probe DAWN into orbit around the giant asteroid Vesta in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter last year. So far, still no gods or angels spotted there or anywhere else in the sky: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/8642...

Other people's opinions about atheism (including famous people) don't change the fact that atheism is logically and evidencially correct.
Unlike religion it is not dependent upon the unproven beliefs and opinions of uneducated liars.
The important thing for you as an agnostic who doesn't understand the debate at all is that you've found a way to feel superior to both sides

The significance of those quotes is only that two very knowledgeable and rational thinkers (not simply famous people)didn’t think they had acquired enough knowledge to rule out the possibility of a creator. Do you think you have acquired more knowledge that either of them?

It's irrelevant what knowledge they acquired. If you believe you have evidence that god is possible or real, please present it.

Otherwise please try and make an actual argument instead of an appeal to an assumed authority.

You are reversing the burden of proof. I make no claim of knowledge of either the existence or nonexistence of a creator. It is you who claim knowledge that a creator does not exist. The burden of proof is equally shared by those who claim knowledge that there is a creator and those that claim knowledge that there is no creator. I as an agnostic get to sit back and wait to see if either side can prove its claim.

Until you can define a clear set of properties for an entity that can rightly be labeled a deity and that could possibly exist at all, any claim of existence or even possible existence is absurd.

Absurd claims made without evidence can (and should) be dismissed without evidence.

I make no claim of knowledge of either the existence or nonexistence of a 3-headed reptile the size of Utah who hides behind the planet Argon in the Andromeda Galaxy, and is in complete control of the Uni(multi)verse and all life on Earth and everywhere else. It is you who claim knowledge that this (or some other equally powerful) reptile does not exist. The burden of proof is equally shared by those who claim knowledge that there is a powerful reptile(s) and those that claim knowledge that there is no reptile. I as a an (extra-terrestrial) agreptile get to sit back and wait ot see if either side can prove its claim.
You are correct it would be “unreasonable” for me or anyone else to “believe” that a 3-headed reptile the size of Utah who hides behind the planet Argon in the Andromeda Galaxy exists, but it would be impossible to “prove” that it does not. In my opinion it is “unreasonable” to believe that a personal “God” that judges his creations exists even though I can’t prove it. However, I think it is eminently possible that some sort of creative force responsible for the existence of the universe exists. I can’t prove it so I am waiting for more evidence. I left out part of the quote from Mr. Einstein.

“I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being.“- Albert Einstein

"Creative force" is evidently a newly-minted term for god among you stealth christians, now that you've about exhausted every other avenue.
Farts have a "creative force" too. If you eat enough beans (or any gas producing carbon-based foodstuff), a force will be created that will blow the end product of digestion out your lower digestive trace, as is the case when any other ape (or dog or horse, etc.). You do realize you're an ape, don't you?
I am one step higher on the evolutionary chain. I have the ability to reason.

Do you believe in invisible gremlins? If you do not, why not? There is no more proof for a god than there is for those gremlins.

You find that wise? It implies that knowing is bad. I don't need to begin to learn what I already know when it is correct. And there are often ways of knowing when one is correct. NASA employed correct physics and aeronautics to get Apollo spacecraft to the moon and back. Medicine was correct when it sought and found polio and smallpox vaccines.

Your statement is of course totally correct, no one can prove god doesn't exist, just as no one can prove god does exist, but science has begun to prove there is no evidence of god in the history of this planet nor the creatures which inhabit it. Science doesn't have all the answers yet but give it time. Look at all the scientific advances made in the last 100 yrs, and imagine what will be known in another 100 yrs, whereas your religion is by definition stuck in the iron age. It doesn't look good for the god story, only a personal appearance by him/ it can save your myth. oh dear!.
