In America, atheists are still in the closet

So do many other interest and identity groups. Complaint is our political lingua franca: it's what Occupiers, Tea Partiers, Wall Street titans, religious and irreligious people share.

On this day in 1957 Sir Anthony Eden resigned as prime minister of Britain due to ill health, after just one year and 279 days in the post. He was succeeded by Harold Macmillan.
Eden resigned on 9 January 1957, after his doctors warned him his life was at stake if he continued in office. Although the media expected Butler would get the nod, a survey of the Cabinet done for the Queen showed Macmillan was the nearly unanimous choice, and he became Prime Minister on 10 January 1957. Shortly afterwards Eden and his wife left England for a holiday in New Zealand.
Eden retained much of his personal popularity in Britain, was created Earl of Avon in 1961, and entered the House of Lords. In retirement Eden was particularly bitter that during the Suez Crisis Eisenhower had initially indicated British and French troops should be allowed to remain around Port Said, only for the US ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. to press for an immediate withdrawal at the UN, thereby rendering the operation a complete failure. Eden felt the Eisenhower administration's unexpected opposition was hypocritical in light of the 1953 Iranian coup d'état and the 1954 Guatemalan coup d'état.

This is your claim, by the way.
As I pointed out to you already, the little number at the end means WIKI took the source from another site.
Although the media expected Butler would get the nod, a survey of the Cabinet done for the Queen showed Macmillan was the nearly unanimous choice, and he became Prime Minister on 10 January 1957.[50]
I give you the LINKS to sources you said didn't exist.

Including this one:

http://www.facebook.com/BritannicaHistorica/p...

Now SUPERFAG: all I had to show you was ONE source.

Can you count to ONE, SuperAG? It 's the number of of men who had a happy ending in your mouth since I posted this note.

So says the manchild hypocrite who claimed his Facebook link was the Encyclopedia Britannica.

You refuse to acknowledge this - and we all know why.

[QUOTE who="barefoot2626"] <quoted text>
I give you the LINKS to sources you said didn't exist.
Yet you still refuse to declare where you got the quote from.

Conclusion: manchild got it from Wikipedia, contradicted himself, so ran away with a red herring.

That would be the exact link you claimed was the Encyclopedia Britannica.

One of the admins I asked said it is not.

So.

Were you wrong? Did you lie? Yes or no? True or false? Oui or non?

To refute your strawman. To actually answer what you were asked means showing where you actually got the quote from.

Be a big boy and stop hiding behind red herring-turned strawmans.

Is that why you refuse to play by your own playbook and explain to everybody why you were wrong about your Facebook link being the Encyclopedia Britannica?

Was the admin lying? Were you wrong? Can you tell us where you got the quote from?

Perhaps it would be a good idea to practice what you preach before talking about other posters' words being meaningless. But that would require being an adult.

Anybody can scroll back a few pages of this thread and see that every time you tried to issue this challenge I never took you up on it. It is simply sad that you are outright pretending that I agreed to a bet.

Perhaps you can show where I ever agreed to a bet since you seem intent on claiming that I did.

Since it was the only source that came up on a Google search. I have no problem admitting that other sources exist that I was unaware of.

Your refusal to say where you got the quote from, so persistence to play with this red herring, says more about your empty arguments than it does about my web browsing.

Of course it is. You think that labelling any statement as "bet" magically makes a bet even if the author of the statement never agreed to one in the first place.

I hereby call your Facebook claim a bet. I proved your bet wrong. I win.
