So do many other interest and identity groups. Complaint is our political lingua franca: it's what Occupiers, Tea Partiers, Wall Street titans, religious and irreligious people share.

A constitutional monarchy is a monarchy.

Look it up.

Make sure you remember to remind Skanque when she insists that no one denies the UK a monarchy when she brings it up again.

AGAIN, for the hard of thinking - Only after being elected TWICE by popular vote first by constituency and then the party members does a person become leader of their party.

[QUOTE who="ChristineM"
Presidents, resign, get assassinated or die naturally, who cares? When they die (for whatever reason) or resign there are replaced,
[/QUOTE]

Presidents are elected, not appointed.

Prime ministers are appointed, not elected.

No prime minister in the history of time in the UK has been elected to office.

None. Never. Zero.

Presidents are elected. Vice presidents are elected. If presidents die or are removed from office, the vice president fills that term- of the elected president- at which time he/she is replaced by another elected president.

Americans understand when they elect the president, they also elect the vice president in case the president is replaced.

Elect.

Now: is a constitutional monarchy a monarchy, yes or no?

I like making NotBots LIE in print.

You mean I have refuted what you have presented as facts and you have rolled around on your fat bigoted behind and said it wasn't true, like when decided the two enigma machines captured in Norway don't count.

Is a constitutional monarchy an monarchy, yes or no?

Remember: you have already insisted no one here has denied UK was a monarchy.

The hypocrisy is so thick that you could cut it with a knife.

You are the master of definitions. You think that all there is to a social science paper is 1), find an online dictionary, 2) copy-paste a definition, then 3) submit it. Job done.

Nobody denies for one second that we have a monarchy or that she wields certain powers.

What we are denying is your ludicrous claims that we are not a democracy as a result of having a monarchy and that these powers actually mean anything. They do not. The Queen acts like a nice lady and only uses them when required.

Want to prove that Britain is a monarchy and only a monarchy? Cross off your dictionary link and actually show the Queen in action making her own laws, engaging in her own diplomacy, and dissolving governments based not on electoral or party obligations, but on her own, based on her own political convictions.

Good luck, manchild. You will certainly need it.

And also a democracy. Denying this is like claiming a kangaroo is a mammal but not a marsupial. It is a member of both families - just like Britain has both a monarchy yet a democractic system.

A child can understand this. A child.

And democracy. That is why it is called Constitutional monarchy and not just "monarchy".

They are called analogies. By your logic, it is impossible for anything to be part of two families.

Britain can be a monarchy, but not a democracy.

Einstein can be a male, but not a German.

Kangaroos can be mammals, but not marsupials.

Do you know what analogies are? Yes or no?

"Because I said so" is an argument used by six year-olds. Start backing them up with evidence such as the Queen making laws and actually, you know,-governing- the country.
