In America, atheists are still in the closet

So do many other interest and identity groups. Complaint is our political lingua franca: it's what Occupiers, Tea Partiers, Wall Street titans, religious and irreligious people share.

I cannot add anything "new" until you learn that actions speak louder than words.

UK = state religion
UK = no freedom of speech
UK = head of state... same one, 60 years.

Constitution = what separates citizens of a democracy from balless subjects of the monarch

The electoral college doesn't emerge from Queen Elizabeth's virgina.

You don't vote for more than half your Parliament, dingus, and YOU GOT NO SAY on your head of state.

NONE!

HAHAHAAHAH!

WE VOTE FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, HONEY!

Dingus: you live in a monarchy.

Look it up.

The head of state in a monarchy is....

a) elected?
b) no, you don't have any say and you never have and never will?

Lamb chop: how does the prime minister get his/her position?

a) elected?
b) appointed by the head of state?

If the head of state decides to dismiss the people you do vote for (the minority house) you can
a) not do a damn thing
b) refer to your constitution
c) whine and cry and stomp your feet?

The Electoral College could emerge from a rock for all it matters. The fact is that 538 electors - not the American people - choose the president of the United States. You cannot cry about how American politics does not literally follow Constitutional procedure while claiming that Britain still lives in a medieval time of strong monarchies and nobilities based on written documents rather than based on how it actually functions.

And again I ask: who, other than you, cares? We sure don't, because unlike you, we understand that actions speak louder than the words on a piece of paper.

The fact of the matter is: The citizens of the USA vote for these electors.

Tell me: how many times have you had any say in voting for your head of state?

Any say?

I don't have to make up things that you say to prove my point.

You continue top make up things I did not say to wiggle out of the fact: you live in a monarchy.

You do not have the protection of a constitution.

The monarch can dismiss the Parliament.

The Church of England makes appointments to your Parliament.

You have absolutely no say over your head of state.

Your head of state is the head of your state religion.

No matter how hard you stomp your feet.

Let's look at the hundred or so comments you have posted here.

COUGH.

Let's go down the list of things that you have refuted that I actually said:...

Um... right.

Nothing.

If it is important enough for you to make up things that I haven't said to try to win a point here... you must care.

According to Barefoot the year is 1531 and we are all still living in a feudal age where the monarchy and nobility are top of the tree and we, the peasants, must til the soil and pay homage to the church.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to string my lute and play in the royal court.

Now. NOW Ė I do not care that you NOW say 15000, you DID SAY 7000 and I posted you the link to your own statement in which you said 7000.

If you canít get basic facts right how the hell are you supposed to convince people of your argument?

So you either lied then or you are lying now or both are lies, which is it?

I did.

Did some gardening.

Planted some portuculatas, a daisy or ten, broke up a bromelia into 6 plants and moved my one Protea.

Sabbath = Gardening
