In America, atheists are still in the closet

So do many other interest and identity groups. Complaint is our political lingua franca: it's what Occupiers, Tea Partiers, Wall Street titans, religious and irreligious people share.

The pill doesn't always work.

Ask your mommy.

And tea bag whiners scream about abortion but then they scream louder about paying for prenatal care.

I guess they only have enough love for zygotes, the love gets worn down by time the fetus reaches the third trimester.

A website but no specifics.
Funny how that is.
As draft dodger Romney his plan and he says, yes he has a plan, and as him for specifics, and he says his specifics are: he has a plan.
He wants to increase the deficit by five trillion dollars by more tax cuts but he will offset the increase in debt by slashing loopholes.
Though even if he slashed the 188 loopholes identified by Simpson Bowles... there isn't five trillion there.
It is the Bush plan that got us in this mess and Romney is going double down on the Bush plan.
Simple: name one tax loop hole, Mittens.
That is the problem, from my perspective - can anybody give any specifics. Let's say a 30 year old man from any demographic group opens up a business, what credits will apply to the guy, and what must he achive for this to happen?

And then, on a large scale, how will this affect taxation and the national budget. I am all for lowering tax rates and/or credits - Hell knows, I can do with a tax break. But if we lower tax rates, our budget decreases... How is that revenue replaced? Will it be replaced? If not, where are we going to cut? Or are we simply robbing Peter to pay Paul?

Facts? Pretty sure no politician would state this as a goal (third world status)... we must infer these intentions from his actions and in-actions. Consider: we have established that the primary impetus for our 2 wars in the Middle East ... WMD's, Al Quida, Bin Laden, establishing "democracy", etc. were all pretty much lost causes when Obama took office. Did he pull us out? No. Why?
Bailing out failed businesses, while noble ... is not in itself good business. Everyone knows this, even the President. Why?
Controlling our borders and moderating the influx of illegals was in the works. Billions had already been spent of the technology ... a "virtual fence" was well underway ... cancelled. Why?
Billions were already invested in the Orion "return to the Moon project" ... cancelled and redirected towards a ridiculous "asteroid" mission. Why?
How boring would all this be if we got on here and spouted "facts"? I'm spouting my thoughts and impressions. I've got as much right to look foolish as anybody else. Yeah. I was in the military in 1973 and DEFCON3 didn't even cause a noticeable bump in our lives on a 7000ft plateau in Ethiopia. Big deal.
I'm an Atheist. The Republicans seem to be driven by the Religi-nuts. I don't like them either. I usually try to avoid political discussions, that is not, after all, the subject of this thread.
So there.
You're right, politics is not the subject of this thread. That said, I don't like Romney or Obama, but I will tell the truth about both of them. At least I take the time to look up what both of them have said/done and don't play favorites because I dislike them both equally with different reasons.

Okay.
Now, let's assume it was not a risky investment.
Imagine me a blue collar worker, straight out of school and get laid off after a year.
Is it fair that that person then has to live a life of poverty?
There should be a "safety net" it should be time limited, you should be drug tested, you should prove that you are actively seeking employment on your own and if you have no marketable skills, you should be provided training opportunities.

Personally, I've worked several places where there were lay offs and I never got laid off. It's a companies way of shaking off the fleas and ticks, the leeches and the dead weight. If you're competent and work hard you won't get laid off.

I might be wrong ... if so, correct me. I might learn something, you might get to feel like you've accomplished something. Who knows? You did not really address my concerns. Are these money squandering moves truth or lies? Are they actual events which I may have misinterpreted? Personally, I believe they are "real" and the only logical explanation is that Obama is bleeding the country dry. There's no surer path to Third World status. Fiscal conservatives could save the day but the Republicans and religious whackos SEEM to be in bed together ... at least as from what you can see in the media. The only logical explanation for that is they WANT Obama to win the election ... to finish the job. I guess they expect a lot of good stories to come out of the collapse. I don't think being wrong about something is the same as lying ... apparently you and Barefoot disagree.

Conservatives Will Save America......As For The Media ?....They Are All Invested In Obama's Re-Election. Even Fox News Has Gone Lilly Liberal....

As For Religious Wackos ?....Who Are They ? The Catholic Church ?
They Seem To Be In Litigation To Stop The Trampling Of Rights, Afforded Religion In The Constitution. Obama Care.....Uncontitutional...Rob erts ONLY Changed The Wording For The Government, To Allow Socialism, Because He Was Afraid To Do His Job.

We May Eventually Meet, As Texas Is One Of The Last Constitutional States, And I'm Considering Investing In Property There.
You May Notice Plenty Of Conservatives, And Conservative Businesses Moving There....Its Just OK To Me....Cant Stand The Heat....LOL

Okay, but what I'd like to know is percentages and figures. Say a thirty 30 year old wants to start a small business.
What figures can you give the guy?
I don't think the whole plan is ironed out atm DF but at least he is adamant about private enterprise and what it takes with the American dream. Not socialistic big government controlled BULL SHITE, because the government is combat ineffective when it comes to making the economy
pump up and go. Besides being strapped they want to add programs we simply cannot afford. We have no good leadership here.
But America past a gargantuan milestone with private enterprise early this morning. The first private supplier of the space station
successfully launched their rocket taking supplies up there.
SpaceX is on the up. America was built on private enterprises .
Obama is killing not only the ability for private enterprise but killing the will of our people by government control.

We need to get rid of those controls so capitalism can function, we are not socialists, and that's where Obama is leading us.

I agree but The majority has become that way , I think because of the pressures of petrol and Muslims , the extremists have bread extremists. Not going to get around that I think. At least until we have taken the need of dealing with the other extremists away. Focusing on the Canadian pipeline and boosting domestically produced sources will create jobs and take away the need to deal with them as well as send a strong message without bombs. These are short term though as long term will have to focus on a new viable energy source we have.

Shale and coal in spades , we can solve the dispute by refusing to need the war torn Muslim states who believe we are exploiting them
anyway. We do not need them Mitt sees that, and that's the best direction we can take. Work around you know white sheet them , and
develop a new way. That's what he talks about and that's drawn my attention.
