So what difference does it make that this isn't the first time? A prophesy can only be denied as being fulfilled when its time has passed; the end times prophesy timing has NOT passed and, therefore, can still happen. The events of today (beginning especially with the fulfillment of Israel's regaining of its nation) give us more reason to believe the end times are near than ever before.
Ever read the Aesop Fable of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf?"

A story with a lesson that even children understand.

So another apocalyptic evangelist who is crying wolf yet again.

At the very least, I know now you are just a small fry trying to scare us with monsters under the bed.

The scary apocalyptics wield power from the shadows trying to intentionally start Armageddon and force Jesus to return before his time.

Nope.
You idiots and idiots like you, have been claiming "end times" ever since your ugly cult was invented by Constantine.
In 500? It was the "end", according to your "experts". But the world continued as before.
In 1000? Again, it was going to be the "end"-- all "certified" by "experts". Yet the world continued unabated.
Again in 1200, 1500 and 2000-- and many other "gosh" numbers in-between.
You idiots have been claiming that-- and failing, since the start.
I don't respond to people who are so juvenile they can't even carry on a civil discussion. This will be the only response you get from me! May you find your way to Jesus and become born again.

1) I used to believe in jewsus-- I do not anymore-- I grew up.

2) your whole religion is juvenile-- to the max. Irony noted

3) I see you have no real facts to back your ludicrous claims.

4) Unlike YOU? I do not wish ill will onto YOU.

That sounds scary. Like Internet Tough Guy Scary. Let me guess, you are a 37th degree blackbelt in Jesus-Fu and was a close combat sniper warrior of the ultra-secret 4077th US Ninja Squad?

What you don't seem to realize is that I'd rather be in Hell if Heaven is populated with mewling, authoritarian cowards like you.

But I suppose you will get the last laugh. I'll be in Hell taking Hitler to the cleaners in Poker while you are licking the boots of God for eternity in Heaven.

You don't have to get insulting about it. Disagree with your myths and your reponse is to wish your religous filth on others.

You might be ok, with a freak show religion which worships a god who would make you eat your children, but some of us us are just plain disgusted by it. We know the kind of dirt that is hidden under your religion's rug, don't try and sweep it onto us,

You sound like one of those fools who follows Dawkins and the like. Dawkins is as clueless about the Bible as you obviously are: "make you eat your children," such ignorance can only come from a Dawkins bandwagon jumper

You do understand that most all atheists here were at one time very religious.

"Religious" and "Christian" are two extremely different concepts! Religion is the problem of this world and is a man-made concept; God, through Jesus, did NOT establish a religion, He initiated a relationship!

Do you believe that Jesus was the son of the old testament god?

That is the very clear assertion of Jesus Himself, yes! But not a literal son as though He had been sired by God. The Son is equal to the Father in essence, but temporarily (while on the earth)lower than God in role. One human way to look at it is by considering the employer/employee relationship: while an employee may be lower in role to a manager/owner, they are still both human beings.

I don't follow Dawkins-- I've never read a single one of his books, for example.

But I **have** read the whole bible-- and it **does** command parents to eat their children in the old testament pages...

...it is an ugly book.

A strictly one-sided "relationship" is not a relationship.

It's an obsession.

A very, unhealthy one too.

I have read the entire King James version of the Holy Bible. I have not read, even the first word of Dawkins. I do know who he is though, but "follower" would imply much more than simply being familiar with a name. Wouldn't you think? I have known Dawkins name, maybe a year or two, and I have been atheist for decades.

The bible is where you will find the threat of a god who would make parents eat their children. Were you under the impression that Dawkins wrote your holy bible?

That must have been hard work. All those thou, thee, dosts, hither, etc. Plus those long geneologies and boring bits. It must have taken a lot of persistence to see it through.

I was determined to know my god's plan for my life. I felt I had been called as a missionary, and I couldn't carry the words of the bible out into the world, unless I myself, knew them. Now that I know them, I can tell you, it is the way to make a sure-thing back fire on you. I read it once, and read it again(skipping the begats) and read most of it a 3rd. time. For me that was close to twenty years of reading and re-reading, to find out that the god of the bible was less moral, less giving, less loving, than most of the humans who have ever lived.
There is only one thing of any real importance: The god was beaten by the iron chariot. Nothing more need be said.

..
Agreed. To be called loving, a person needs to >act< in a loving way. Yet the theorised God is totally inactive, and does nothing to alleviate suffering and evil in the world. Most people in a position to help someone will do so. If you could stop a war, a natural disaster, if you could end world hunger and disease, you would do. The theorised God does none of those things, and therefore does not exist.
