That is not the way it is. You are either theist or not theist. Atheist are the not-theist. If you are as you claim, not a theist, the by default, you are an atheist. You also are an atheist to all theisms

You have provided proof of your claims of course? Here on topix.com ? Until you do, there is nothing to counter, they are only unsubstantiated claims.

The theist is one who has either been indoctrinated, or has otherwise absorbed and believes some or all of any given religion or dogma surrounding a god myth. The atheist is everyone else.

Therefore, I am neither.

From my point of view, a theist is someone who believes in the existence of at least one deity. Jide oni's purpose here is to promote a "universal religion" based on his concept of God, making him, in this arena, and evangelistic theist. As such, he is lucky to get any attention at all here, much less the level of response that his posts have generated. To expect to attract any new converts here is unrealistic, especially given his deficiencies in explaining his religion, much less advocating for it.

His latest assertion is that evil does not exist. I assume that this is presented as a premise for some line of logic. Ordinarily, the burden of proof would be on any who disagree with him--positive versus negative claim, after all. But before that discussion can begin, jide oni has to define evil in the context of his assertion. He has not done that, and, until he does, forum participants have no basis for deciding whether they agree or disagree. from my point of view, "evil" is not a particularly useful term because the meanings that people ascribe to it very so as to cancel each other out. I've already explained this and his response is... silence.

Jide oni: please define evil in the context of your assertion that it does not exist.

Why? Why bringing this up at this point in time? Quite out of place.

At this point in time? You began this thread on February 10 and that post is from February 17, the last post on the first page of the thread. It was in response to your stated fears of having your posts deleted and was intended as a piece of friendly advice.

Now you are trying to twist it into some sort of defamation? Just how stupid do you think the forum participants are?

Truthfully, this post makes you look either dishonest of very stupid.

You do the word "theist" a disservice, it is much bigger than you give it credit for being, it even manages to include you in it's wide spread coverage. Proof? The title of this thread. >>> Introducing The Universal Religion <<< You are theist!

That description "personal humanlike" might cover a few of the thousands upon thousands of religions or gods whose followers are theist, but only a few.

No, theists believe in a much wider range of deities, including some much like yours. Many of them believe that they "know" that their deity is real, but none have substantiate that claim.

Neither have you.

If you want to be taken seriously in this forum, you should avoid responses like this. It's not different than little kids' "Is not," "Is so" responses. It says absolutely nothing. You have still substantiated none of your assertions to the satisfaction of anyone except yourself. Your logic, when not totally absent, is deeply flawed. Your evidence, when presented at all, which is rarely, is highly questionable. You use obviously concocted and highly improbably scenarios to support your ideas about karma, reincarnation, and the various laws that you claim operate outside of your own imagination.

No one can be the judge of their own success or failure in substantiating their assertions. That's why PhD candidates have to satisfy committees of those who will be their peers in the future if they succeed. In this context, this forum is your committee. Until you gain its support, you have failed to prove your claims.

Earlier, I suggested that you rethink your approach and start over. I got the impression that you were prepared to do exactly that, but instead, you have continued on the same failed course. It's still not too late, but you have to begin by stating and substantiating the most basic premises upon which the chain of logic that ultimately supports your thesis will depend. Until you have done that, you have nothing to build upon.

Building a logical argument that is sufficient to sway a collection of skeptics is hard work. It is okay, by the way, to copy and paste sections of the books you've self-published on hulu rather than reinvent your own wheel. But if you are not up to the task, you might as well give up now.
