"Militant atheist" is a lie that religitards tell to falsely accuse atheists of doing things that the religitards do.

All atrocities are committed by groups backed by ideology. Religion is as much an ideology as communism, fascism or Nazism. Atheism is an absence of ideology.

I prefer the term non believer.

These desperate, lying religitards really struggle to smear that term.

I agree. People should note that secular, atheist and agnostic are terms that are useful due to the prevalence of religion - a point that isn't obvious to everyone, apparently.

There is no militant atheism, only aggressive religionism. It is important to debunk superstition and respond to the dogma from religious heirarchies. Ideologies rapped in religion (e.g Zionism, Islamsim) aslo need to be opposed. One should never be afraid to stand up for a secular and inclusive society. People shouldn't want this sort of prejudice....

religionists and non-believers alike.

Religion = superstition
It's divisive and outdated.

I know what you mean. Here is the constitution of Mississippi.

http://www.sos.ms.gov/links/ed_pubs/pubs/Miss...

Check out Section 265. Actually, I found it quite amusing, but then I don't live there.

Moving away from non-belief itself, far less amusing is the racist POS Section 263. It has been replaced by a "merely" anti gay 263-A.
But I don't think 263-A will survive long.

Mississippi does not permit the issuance of marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The state forbids, both by statute and in its constitution, the recognition of same-sex marriages and other forms of same-sex partnership solemnized in other jurisdictions (Wiki), but the constitution isn't enforced against non-believers, in practice, is it?

I suspect there is quite widespread bias against non-believers in that state.

"Modern atheismís may be its creeping idolatry of reason and reality, which, in our current political circumstance, gives way to Islamophobia and sexism"

I thought this was a story on racial and ethnic strife, neither of which was addressed in the story.
But atheism is a factor in racial hatred, the NSM (national socialist movement) a white american group is largely atheist but is also associated with the Joy of Satan movement. You also have the Creativity Church of the late Ben Klassen, which is a totally atheist movement.
Then you have the Nation of Islam and the Nation of Gods and Earths which are black racists who believe they are all gods in the flesh and that white people are to be exterminated.

Atheists have a pretty good hand in promoting hatred.
Barghossians book is garbage, badly written and full of quotes and footnotes. His actual 'material' for 'converting' people is just pompous and arrogant sounding words playing on semantics and dialectic.
An utter goose

Clearly the Mississippi religitards feel very unsure of their god otherwise they'd feel no need to pervert their national constitution which is secular.

And we all notice how you always bring discussions around to your distaste for people of color.

Jesus would be so proud of you. He had quite a bit of distaste for people of color too, didn't he?:)
