P.S And the interesting thing is that the Pharisees and scribes asked Jesus Himself the same thing you all now ask. They told Jesus, "....we would see a sign from thee." Jesus responded by saying that the only sign they'd get would be his resurrection and after He rose again, they STILL refused to believe!
P.P.S: Jewsus(jesus) never existed as a historical figure.

Pitiful.

Most likely, you became an atheist because you allowed Satan's demon to influence you. This is pretty much how it always happens, regardless of how you describe it or think it did.
"A fool hath said in his heart,'There is no God!'"
we became atheists because we realized that your god is a fraud.

No they are not. In my church, I personally know someone who struggled with throat cancer and, by God's mercy, beat it...or thought he did (I say beat it, but it left him unable to speak well anymore and he has to eat through a feeding tube because he cannot swallow!). It came back, again, but he never lost faith. One day he says he woke up and just "felt like the cancer was gone." When he returned to his next appt., the doc said something like, "We don't know how, but the cancer's gone!" THAT is a miracle because cancer doesn't typically just "go away," especially when it is as aggressive as his was.
Millions of people pray everyday and they still become sick. Proof positive that miracles are bullshyt.

God did all He needed to in order to give us reason to believe in Him. He even made sure we knew about it by having it written down. Like Jesus says in the NT, "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."
To bad god waited over a thousand years to give this info to the Native Americans.

They did not believe because it did not happen.

Well, since you know everything, there's really no reason to continue our discourse!

Nice story. What you are forgetting to tell them is that both the story about the Pharisees questioning Jesus AND the story of Jesus' resurrection were written down DECADES after the fact by people with an agenda to carry out.

And by the way, cancer goes into spontaneous remission quite a lot on its own. There is little rhyme or reason to it and it happens to fervent Christians and complete atheists alike.

Indeed. Someone who is teaching fiction as fact has the nerve to speak with such arrogance.

That's what I am referring to, right there: "teaching fiction." I don't claim to know everything. What I say on here is from the Bible. So where is your claim that the Bible is fiction coming from?

Key word there being "typically". While it is unusual, cancer going into remission is not unknown. It happens, most often temporarily, sometimes not. Medical science is studying cancers that go into remission, but there is a long way to go before there's enough evidence for doctors to say a cancer went into remission because of X, or because of the interplay of X and Y. When they do arrive at the answer, it is highly unlikely to be "goddidit".

A temporary remission, as opposed to a permanent remission, hardly seems like proof of divine intervention. If your god had the ability to cure the cancer, a temporary remission seems more like a cruel practical joke than an exercise in divine mercy. The mere fact that your acquaintance subjectively "felt like there was no more cancer". which was apparently objectively wrong, is under the best of circumstances a slender reed to support a claim of a miracle.

And the biggest "joke" of all?

Is this "loving" god who **gave** the poor schlub the cancer in the **first** place!

... meh.

"Here, I love you so much, let me give you CANCER THAT RUINS YOUR ABILITY TO SPEAK.

That is how much I **love** you.."

From the fact that the bible plagiarizes from many sources.
From the fact that the bible contradicts itself.

Indeed. I suspect he lacks the requisite brain damage to **really** misunderstand it "correctly".

Right?

Because the bible does **not** mean what it says, does it?

It **only** means what **you** say it means.

Am I right?
