So you are one of those who feel those effected by disability should be safely locked away from your godly image of the human being? How quaint

If you don't know by now how to behave like a human being then you have serious problems. First thing you need to do is stop judging people by your barrow minded limitations

You have no idea how fortunate you are. My maternal grandmother began to brainwash me by the time I was 4 or 5 years old. When I started grammar school in 1940 everything she had told me was backed up by teachers. In the third and fourth grades the teachers assigned a bible verse to each student on Mondays to memorize and recite back to the class on Thursdays and Fridays. We prayed the lord's prayer in unison each morning. In 1957 when I was 23 years old I was baptized before a congregation of nearly 1000 and then I was off to convert the world. I taught Sunday school, joined the Brotherhood, worked with the RA boys in sports and other projects. I gave testimony in small churches in nearby towns and communities. I worked on committees like building and vacation bible school planning. I tithed my gross and gave extra for things like the Lottie Moon drives.
I had most of the new testament memorized chapter and verse when I was still in my 20's. I turned down an offer to become an ordained minister to stay out of the military in 1957. I was in the army in 1957/58 and stayed in the guards till 1964.

Sometime around then I began to doubt most of it and by the time I was 40 I doubted all of it. I used to sit in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings and look at the faces of others and wondered if they doubted too. Shortly after my 60th birthday I decided I would not continue to live a lie....which is exactly what I was doing.

Now I'm on a mission. I will promote secularism and cast doubt on the 2000 year old fairy tale at any and every opportunity. Thank goodness all religion is on a downward course in the United States. The only thing holding levels where they are is the Catholic immigrants coming into the country. Now one of every five has no religion and more than that among the young folks. It's definitely on it's way out.....and not soon enough to suit me.

You were a true atheist from the beginning, never a christian.

I can prove that since you never actually experienced God

I knew you would know. I have a question for you since you and and your pal Gawd know everything. When that preacher offered to have me ordained to avoid the draft is that the kind of "Christian Conduct" you approve of? It's the first thing since my grandmother used to tell me, "Ol Scratch Will Get You" every time I did or said something she didn't approve of that started me to thinking, "What Is Going On Here?"

That's why their numbers are falling like a lead balloon. They just can't deal with scientific facts and kids are being educated more with each passing day. They'll try another trick or two because donations will fall off but I think maybe this time it won't work:

Religion and the Christian church in particular has been responsible for more evil acts than any other entity in the world. Granted often the government and church were entwined in authoritarian efforts but no group has ever withstood the trials of time better than those with the power. The crusades wiped out hundreds of thousands for simply differing beliefs.

For more than a thousand years the church required infant baptism. When ordinary folks began to doubt that kind of requirement and their attendance/donations began to falter the church made it optional. The scripture is still there but is never mentioned in that way.

For many thousands of years the church conducted witch hunts and tortured and put to death a conservative estimate of 100,000 innocent young women because they had been accused of witchcraft. When the general population caught on to the fact that there is no such thing as a witch the church backed away and shut up. The scripture is still there.

For thousands of years the church supported slavery, often accommodated it. When ordinary folks realized slavery is a practice for which there is no justification...guess what? The church backed away and never mentions the numerous scriptures in the bible which lend support to the practice.

Now the thing is hell itself. After millions of preachers preaching hundreds of millions of hell fire and brimstone sermons and the very concept of eternal torture and misery for non believing individuals making mistakes while living their lives has become extremely distasteful to the common man they are adamant in their insistence that it's all been
errors in translation and are now preaching that hell is merely the eternal separation of man from god. All the scripture is still there but once again they have changed their position.

The church owns more real property in this world than any other entity except the governments. The Vatican City has a building which covers blocks and is loaded with rare treasures and art works which conservatively are worth hundreds of billions of dollars. All this while more than 900,000,000 humans are starving to death or suffering from the effects of
malnutrition. By default the starving are mostly children.

Pick out a paragraph and show some kind of reliable information to the contrary. That crock of shit called the Holly Bibble doesn't count.

I wonder how long it's been since one of them actually did what Jesus asked them to do:

Do they turn the other cheek?

Do they walk the extra mile?

Do they love their neighbors?

Do they love their enemies?

Do they pray for those who curse and despise them?

If a man sues them in court for their coat do they volunteer to also give him their cloak?

Do they ever tell a lie?

Are they perfect even as the father is perfect?

Do they tithe their gross?

Do they take no thought for tomorrow?

That is the life Jesus instructed them to live. During my 80 years on this planet without reservation the biggest fakes, dupes and hypocrites I've ever met have been so called Christians. They're Suckers. P T Barnum said there's one born every minute.

LOL...no dictatorships huh?

I'm 80 years old. As I've posted before I started school in Milan, TN circa 1940. A typical grammar school day included praying, the pledge of allegiance, assigned bible verses to memorize and random prayers. That was the dictatorship, brainwashing etc. Why don't you "Thumpers" try some of those tactics now?

All god worship is on it's way out. Today's young don't pay much attention to that crap and most of them place it into the fairy tale, myth category.
