New Atheism should be able to criticise Islam without being accused of Islamophobia

For a community that is often portrayed as aggressive and pugitive, New Atheism has recently been on the backfoot, defending itself from claims dreamt up by those who should and, surely, in many cases do know better.

Islamophobia is another way of telling people not to make legitamte critiques about Islam.

This is a rare occasion to grant the New Statesman publication credit. That was quite a good article.
I think the term 'new atheist' is misleading. It isn't atheism that has changed..
What's new is that religion can be more openly challenged today and is in decline in developed countries and well-educated populations. Religion is retreating in the face of science and education.

all religions are worhtless because there are different races and cultures with religions that didn't reach one another..
