It is quite obvious that valid prayers go unanswered. In WW2 6 million Jews were gassed. No doubt they as God's chosen people, may have expected God to do something, instead silence, as usual. What does this tell you?
And the number of rapes, annually, is MORE proof that there is no god, and no prayers-that-work.

Hey there, Bob. I guess I'm hanging out here for tonight. My site that I do my writing at is down.:( So I had no choice but to come here. I hope you're doing all right. I am doing pretty well. Still an agnostic and proud of it.:D We always have to keep on fighting the myths, huh?

Or perhaps a flashback?
... hmmm.
My guess would be DMT. Shorter trip, but much more intense. As Grace Slick once said, "Acid is like being sucked up a tube, but DMT is like being launched in a rocket". Grace is one person whose experience with pharmaceuticals should not be doubted!

Indeed we do. Wasn't that long ago, when "blasphemy" was a "crime" punishable by death.

You, me and anyone else with a **working** brain recognizes that blasphemy is simply a word used to describe what is **true** about the religion in question...

... a truth they cannot allow to be told far and wide-- it undermines their cause.

I will have to take your word for that, as I'm not familiar with Ms Slick.

But I have read quite a few descriptions, written by people who have engaged in recreational drugs.

I find it interesting. But I've never really been tempted: my thinking ability is one of my few assets. I'd never risk that, just for a fleeting feeling.

rabbee: well there are about 100,000 dead syrians, that may indicate that there still is a death penalty for blasphemy.

Not in the USA, but **certainly** in countries ruled by religion.

That is one of the tell-tales of religious rule: you can be killed for failing to bow to the god(s) in question.

Grace Slick was the female lead singer for. Jefferson airplane. I'm surprised someone as familiar with the Dead as you would not catch the reference. I would say I have probably.a bit more experience than Aldous Huxley, but less than Owsley with psychedelics. I learned some things about the nature of reality and perception that were very valuable, but there's only so much you can get from that experience. Once you get it, it is time to tick that box and move on.

rabbee: oh really now, and how many mass murders have happened here lately? most of which school and theater massacres so far, committed by atheists. so do not tell me that, atheists are immune to this. mass murder here in the united states, is on the increase. it's gotten beyond a, a shot across our nose. which is now up, it. atheism is in control of this country, and they can't prevent it either. and they don't keep track of, the religious beliefs of those who die. and this is the way, it started off over there. and you can't see, the warning flags? and ignorance, shall only cause this to get worse. and i, can only hope i am wrong. i would rather not see, that happen over here.

Everyday the atheist half-wits post their mental disability on this thread. These people need to do mental exercises to increase access to their right-brain hemispheres because they're not thinking holistically whatsoever but letting the left-brain's processing of information dictate All their consciousness of reality. And the left-brain is incapable of processing holistic information flow as anyone who has taken psychedelics can tell you. If psychedelics can open up the mind what's that tell you logically about never doing anything to open up higher consciousness? That is what you atheists are peddling and don't have a clue. Restricted consciousness that virtually abandons right-brain holistic processing in favor of A to Z linear simplistic overlay impression of reality that actually Believes, because to hold the atheist philosophy requires fundamentalist belief because science isn't on the atheist side, that reality follows the A to Z paradigm when it never did and never will.

Emperorjohns, it is you who are wearing no clothes. You don't know what you're talking about, do you. You've never had any experience in spiritual consciousness, have you. And yet here you are, like every atheist who posts here, loudly and daily proclaiming to be experts in a subject none of them has a clue about how it works. Amazing egotism being shown but certainly no logic at all as who even wants to waste their time listening to strawbosses telling the actual pros how to do their jobs or in your cases, how to think using only one brain hemisphere, the one that can't process holistic consciousness. Brilliant, atheists, just brilliant.
But someday, really do think logically for a change instead of reacting like fundamentalist true believers unable to face any evidence contradicting the cherished but irrationally held belief system?
Most atheists have been to your fabled state and back. We realize that it's just bullshyt.

We are not talking about Jane and the lottery, we are talking about people praying for food or for health.

According to your bible, god is the one who created evil.

G-D spoke spoke all these statements, saying:
IAM HaShem*, your G-D, WHO has taken you out of the land of egypt, from the house of slavery.
you shall not recognize the g-ds of others in MY Presence. you shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of that which is in heavens above the earth or below or in the water beneath the earth. you shall not prostrate yourself to them nor worship them, for IAM HaShem*, your G-D - a jealous G-D, WHO visits the sins of fathers upon children to the third and fourth generation, for my enemies; but WHO knows kindness for thousands [of generations] to those who love ME and observe MY commandments.
What children who die, are they at fault as well?

Exactly! By refusing to act? This "ultimate creator", this "god" thingy?
Is culpable in **all** murders, everywhere.
It has nothing to do with free will, either--a simple whisper in the mind of the potential victim would be sufficient: "don't go to the store just yet-- wait an hour". And the **potential** victim misses the robbery that would have gone bad, and doesn't get killed.
For a **god**? It would be simple to prevent 90% of the murders from ever happening at all--
--- WITHOUT infringing on any free will.
Our friend believes that prayer works, but God is not obliged to help us if we need him to do so.
LOL.
