What you said was, "If the existence of God cannot be proven to them with THEIR five senses (yours aren't good enough)".

Your getting more and more nonsensical by the moment. But what Im getting from you is yes, theists some how have more "senses" then non believers, but that doesn't explains whats happens when people deconvert.

Its like your heart does more then just pump blood.
huntcoyotes wrote:
Also, you are assuming that "people from other religons" come to me with their claims, and you therefore expect all Christians to behave in the same way- tsk tsk tsk- what is that word for generalizing?
Ok well you did "misinterpret" that and took it literal. But then again how many mormons or jehovah witnesses have been on your front porch??

Heres the point. Just from watching your local news you know there are thousands of other religions around the world. And when hearing about those other religions how many times did you put the braks on your own and think, "am I batting for the right team"??? "do I have have the right god"??

No. They were dismissed out of hand. Unless your a pantheist, but I doubt that.

I like that wording "an atheist in a Christain country". I'd like to see it on a t-shirt. Somehow that perfectly fits, it is my badge of honor too, and I wear it proudly.

<quoted text>
Thats a rather broad(not female) equivocation you have going there. Religious faith is playing make believe. Then theres belief without evidence. Did you know that the definition of faith and magic are pretty much the same??
<quoted text>
A non belief faith based system??

you seem to have an unnatural fixation with women's body parts.
so let me ask you, since those who could approach the altar had to be born of the tribe of levi and of that tribe, there were very few who were given the responsibility of approaching the altar, what is the perceived problem that you have with the limitations of the office. why don't you just simply claim that women could not approach the altar or in fact anyone who happened to be born into the other 112 tribes were somehow unjustly restricted from approaching the altar.
you try to play to sensationalism and really just show yourself to be irrationally dishonest in your effort.

<quoted text>Again and again, in the buybull, your Arab god Jehovah passes the buck. He says he will put your enemies up to making your life so difficult, that you will be forced to eat your children*, to sustain your own life. He wants it to happen, but he will have somebody else do it. How lame!
But over in Leviticus he owns it, this time it is him, and you have angered him, so what he says is that >in his anger< you will be punished seven times, does that means you angered him seven times? No it means that he will punish you seven times what you deserve, and you will eat your children.
*Somehow, he just doesn't get this parenting thing now, does he?
The truth is, a real parent would cut off their own arm to feed their starving children. Only an greedy inhumane monstrous focker who is willing to use others to his own aims would even consider eating the children. You know, like your very own loving Jewish/Christain/Muslim/Pagan and Arabic god.
Read it and weep, weep for yourself, weep for mankind, weep for any child whose parents would bend to that god filth >>
Leviticus 26:27-29
New King James Version (NKJV)
27. And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me,
28. then I also will walk contrary to you in fury;
and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29. You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.
Praze the Lard!
you're not much up on anthropology are you? societies without God have done despicable things to their children down through the ages. perhaps it is the protection from God that keeps us from living like they did. and when a society rejects God he just simply lets them do what they think is ok. the results and the consequences are on them not Him.

now when a teen would come home late, after curfew, let's say one hour late, would his parents "ground" him only for an hour? i do think that God does understand parenting. you just have a hard time understanding how chastisement works.

That you would laud your belief in the Arabic buybull god, and actually not know what you are lauding is just sad. Your buybull god is a mess of contradictions, and has been fragmented into the basis for thousands of competing and conflicting dogmas. That pretty much says he is the one, the only, the true god of Israel, Iraq, Alaska, the bible belt and the thanks to the coming back from the dead, blood drinking and flesh eating crap, throw in the West Indies, Russia, Africa, Haiti and Jamaica too.
you're either not very good with english comprehension or you deliberately take what i said out of context and twist it just like you do with the Word of God. at least you are consistent.

oh really, where have i distorted what you said?

now when it comes to you let's just try your last post:
""Reason Personified"]<quoted text>"You can't prove god so you think he doesn't exist, right?" <<< Those were your words, remember? So now you are telling me you can't prove it? Hilarious, totally hilarious."

everyone knows that my quote was an analogy of your position which you can't deny. "You can't prove god so you think he doesn't exist"
the "you" is referenced to you personally, rp. the you does not reference to me. you can';t prove therefore you don't believe.
however I can't prove to your satisfaction but i still believe.
what you believe and what i can or can't prove to you has no effect on whether God really exist or not.

there is no such thing as any animal, that does not have a religion. or you would not be able to religiously tell lions from zebras, or trees religiously. delude yourself all you want, but atheism is the religion against being The G-D or other g-ds. for the only g-d you know, is yourself. and you don't know yourselves, very well either.

rabbee: just where in TheTorah, did G-D say there were not other g-ds?
"(G-D spoke spoke all these statements, saying:

IAM HaShem*, your G-D, WHO has taken you out of the land of egypt, from the house of slavery.

you shall not recognize the g-ds of others in MY Presence. you shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of that which is in heavens above the earth or below or in the water beneath the earth. you shall not prostrate yourself to them nor worship them, for IAM HaShem*, your G-D - a jealous G-D, WHO visits the sins of fathers upon children to the third and fourth generation, for my enemies; but WHO knows kindness for thousands [of generations] to those who love ME and observe MY commandments.)"

and in fact i am watching one of those other g-ds all-h, helping syrians today. even if they can't recognize, the help they are getting from their other g-ds. much in the same manner, G-D kept helping the jews who keep running away from THEM(BOTH).

Duh, you should have just read my post. It said everything that I wanted to say, and nothing that you wanted to say.

An unnatural fixation consists of these few words? "the comeliness of a woman's secret parts", That was it, not a single word more. A woman approaching the altar was not written nor implied, in fact in hadn't even crossed my mind, because that was not the subject.

This was solely about the qualifications of those who could. They were required to have perfect testes and penises. Only perfect danglies were allowed, so somebody has to do some checking, didn't they. Gotta keep the god happy.

That you have attempted to distort my words, to fit with your dishonesty was completely expected.

Your question (one of several), as I have already shown, was not relevant to the subject. Here's the deal, if I want to change the subject, I will ... it was my original posting theme, that you chose to play at making a point, by veering off the subject completely. Who does the wienie checking for god, at your church's altar?

You sir, are correct- he is not. Other than his screename (the only place it appears in his posts), he is lacking comprehension. Another post mentions "atheist" as being on military dog tags- correct, as "something" has to be there, otherwise it looks like the question had been forgotten to be asked. At any rate, the military sees it merely as a classification, not a religon. It's there so that when/if the time comes, the appropriate clergyman can be summoned...or none. And the poor soul can die with no comforting words from a compassionate Shepherd. Or not.
