I do not think that a god exists. ARe you saying there is evidence and proof, and if so, for what particular version of God, or god? Now, those who lust after flesh and the sins of the world might, could, say that proof means that God predicted to you that next March 14 at 2:25 a.m. a meteorite composed of 82 percent iron, 13 percent nickel and 3 percent iridium, approaching from the southwest and hitting the Earth at an angle of 82 degrees, would strike your house, penetrating the building, punching a hole through your prayer closet upstairs and the arm of the couch downstairs, ending up 17.4 inches below the basement floor and weighing 13.5 ounces. However, faith doesn’t require that kind of proof (the world of measurement meets the world of metaphor) or any proof. If atheists would build themselves a prayer closet according to biblical principles and measurements (gopher wood, 2.5 cubits long, 1.5 cubits wide and high), lock themselves inside the closet, and surrender to God, God would give them GODLY proof. Atheists, at first God sounds like your own voice, only a little bit deeper, but as you grow in grace, you distinguish between your own deep, gravelly, voice, inside your head, and God’s beautiful low contralto voice which is also inside your head. But then one can also fall into the trap of word games. Atheist means you do not believe in God. If you believe in a god or gods you are a Theist if you do not believe in a god or gods you are an Atheist. One can create lots of terms that all mean the same thing really. Do we bother with proving there isn't an invisible flying teapot ruling from Pluto? Of course not we would scoff at such a myth and move on. God is no different and believing in something without evidence is not a good thing for people of reason.

I have made no claims about there not being any gods. He claims to believe in a god. Would he not know that there is a god, that a god exists, if he says he believes in one? Conversely, would he believe in a god that he knows doesn't exists?
