I only got as far as his gross oversimplification of "history", paragraph 4.

Anyone who claims that "atheism" is some sort of "movement" and that Hitchens/Dawkins/anybody-at-al l is some sort of "atheist messiah"?

Is batshit insane, I think.

Or, barring that?

SELLING ME SOMETHING.

Okay, now honest selling me something is FINE, if you are up-front about what it is you're trying to sell-- I may very well want to purchase that Turnip-Twaddler-Dog-Polisher multi-tool.

But, be HONEST about what you're selling. Don't try to couch it into what it is not.

I'm just sayin'...

I don't think atheism is a religion. I know it is. You support that fact with your constant ass wiping IQ.

What you know is nothing, what you are guessing at is a joke. Educate yourself. A dictionary would be a great place to start. The words religion and atheist are in most dictionaries.
Every human is born an atheist, theism is taught. If one god created all, then all humans would only believe in the one god. If the "one" god was the only god, he would not have referenced other gods. If the one god was the almighty god he would not have admitted defeat when faced with the iron chariot.

Nope: all babies, at birth, are atheist: they have ZERO belief in... anything, really.

You **must** carefully brainwash these innocent babies into "christianity" or "islam" to force that into their defenseless brains...

A baby doesn't pop out of the womb and say "god did it".

It has no knowledge of god(s). It has no belief in god(s).

Therefore, it is, by definition, agnostic and atheist.

Doesn't matter: the baby is born WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OR BELIEF IN GOD.

Thus?

He/she's an atheist by default.

The DEFAULT state of mind is atheism.

The accident of birth matters not one bit.

The most probable answer is the answers given by their church members casted doubts to their 'knowledge' they claim to have. Or ny reading the scripture and noticing all the problems contained with in the source of this supposed 'divine knowledge'.

But....
A more constructive question would be - can a christian be born into a muslim family or vise versa?

you grow up and accept reality

there are many people who do not share the same religion as their parents

and people who convert more than once through adulthood

they outgrow a system that when they examine it, raises far more questions than answers

and really does not match with history at all

'nina' was not telling you to "grow up". She was simply answering your question. You really should take a refresher course in sentence structure, punctuation and reading comprehension... Seriously

She was not telling YOU to grow up she was pointing out that people in general grow up and search for knowledge, passing through different phases of their lives and will change religions according to their beliefs or use reason to break the cycle of religion.

Try not to be so defensive.
