Arkansas Society of Freethinkers Denies "War on Christmas" Charge

Dec 5, 2012 | Posted by: Hedonist | Full story: arkansasmatters.com

The Arkansas Society of Freethinkers today rejected the claim that it is making war on Christmas.

"Those who stand up for the rights of children to be free from coercion aren't making war either on religion or Christmas," said ASF spokesperson LeeWood Thomas. "Rather, this is a case of a church forming an alliance with local government to violate religious freedom. So we in the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers feel compelled to take a stand on behalf of the parents under the U.S. Constitution."

So my ever dropping IQ points idiot, if a Jew worked on a Christmas show all Jews must accept it?
So if a Christian made movie that you found repugnant you would have to watch it and allow it to be crammed down your kid's throat because it was made by a fellow Christian? In that case can we force Christian children to watch some movie they would be uncomfortable watching and argue that it had a Christian working on it so shut up?
Are you starting to see how ignorant you look? Probably not.

Says the reject who claimed she had less then a year to live, nothing the doctors could do and then poof all cured good as new. Lmfao!

And I notice you couldn't refute a single word I said. Ok let's use your a Jew worked on the production so it's fine for all Jewish kids to have this forced down their throats.

Ok so the movie Religulous had several Christians and Jews work on it throughout. So after the Christian favorite movie or play we have all the kids watch Religulous every year after the Christian favorite. If any Christian or Jewish family complains we point out that several Christians and Jews worked on the film so shut it. Fair enough half wit?

That is a mystery to you? Belief in unicorns is less of a threat to separation of church and state.

Like most atheists I'm uninterested in religion or any other fairy stories. It's their impact on politics, ethics and education (and the USA) that necessarily concerns me. Pointing out the effect of religion on science (ID/Creationism) and morality (e.g. prejudice against gays and atheists) and maybe the trouble superstitions cause is highlighted and so reduced.

Atheist forums at least help to educate people that religionists are in no way 'better' than atheists and it helps to encourage others to think for themselves and not hold idle or superstitious 'beliefs'.

I should have used "global warming" instead of "unicorns" as a better example....that seems to be the latest new religion these days.

The current day understanding of "seperation of church and state" is twisted from the original meaning. It is not in the constitution it was in a letter, and it meant the state was to stay out of the church.

<quoted text>Excuse me?!!! Just about every Christmas movie or cartoon that has been released for public view in the U.S. had a Jewish producer. Christmas has been a big money maker for the Jewish film makers. I'm sure they remember to tell their kids that Santa is only a tool to fill their bank accounts.
Wow! Talk about fuzzy thinking. How old are you?
You base this assertion on what? That they had "Jewish" names? Lame. Mexico has a lot of people named Jesus, does that mean they're all your Jesus?

Why do you spend so much time trying to convince others that your god is real?

Because I believe without salvation of Jesus Christ your soul will spend eternity in hell and the love of God has made a way for us to spend eternity with Him forever. It's good news!

Proverbs 18:24
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth,“Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Yeah, your fairy tales are strange, but that still didn't answer my question, why do you keep trying to convince everyone those fairy tales are real? Considering you have no evidence to support them.
