Don't dictate beliefs

No one else can say otherwise? That is basically saying those who do "believe in God" are better? Hardly.

At least in the old testament there is no afterlife. Yahweh may be a psychotic deliquent, but at least when you die you are off the hook.
But the "loving" Jesus wants to torture the majority of mankind for eternity. That absurd notion is not love in my book.
Good point.

The OT god is a murdering maniac, rampaging through its pages killing as a first resort.

Come the NT, we have the same god but he only kills (as far as I'm aware) three people.

However, eternal torture of the vast majority of humanity is the act of a lunatic sadist.

Or a mixture of religious skeptics and deists. Which for the time, was the most enlightened position to take.
Absolutely

Except in this post....

KJV listed wars which he credited to atheists.

In this little list is the American War of Independence.

You're right.

Not only that but it also says that ALL liars will be thrown into teh lake of fire to burn.

This includes KJV and Dim, both of whom have been caught out by their lies.

Hi K.

OFF-TOPIC...
Don't know if you like one of my favourite progs...
http://www.frostmagazine.com/2012/12/new-yes-...
but its back. An Independent newspaper article claims that David Cameron was critical of its inaccuracies, but perhaps that rather misses the point of it? The Independent also claim a link between this series and 'the BBC sitcom, The Thick of It'. I haven't seen The Thick of It - yet.

Hi Ed

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll give it a go although I'm always dubious when UK Gold resurrect an old series - I seem to remember them bringing Red Dwarf back but it didn't do much for me.

So you do recognize science has failed us since I found and posted many of the failures.

Thank you for that admission.

Maybe you're making some slow progress.

Failure would be when fraudulent behaviour is not found out. The very fact that you are able to find examples of bad science attests to the success of science as a whole.
Come back when your religious scrolls make precise statements about untested phenomena/objects in the natural world.
Hint: Bats are not birds and Pi is not three.
Sorry, Khatru, I posted a reply to you without putting your email on top first. Perhaps it's because your a "none", lol.

Like Kitten, you have a lot of catching up to do on your Bible studies.

What an embarrassment you are to yourself.

Au contraire. In the last religion surveys in both the US and UK the number of "Nones" is growing rapidly. When you take atheists, agnostics and others outside of religion, the nones are the fastest growing group.
“None”- that's a perfect description of an atheist.

They have nothing, do nothing, are nothing.

They are just plain old “nones”.

Evolution can be proven 29 different ways;
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/scipr...

And there is a letter signed by tens of thousands of christian clergy admitting that evolution is correct;
http://www.theclergyletterproject.org/Christi...

So not only is Evolution an established fact, the leaders of your religion admit it is true.

So, suck it up Bucky and STFU!!

... though even out of context it makes you look worse. You just provided solid evidence you have zero standards, conscience, and empathy. No one was killed for those stem cells, lots of people were murdered for your god, come to terms.
Put it in context, dingbat, and see what it changes.

Changes nothing.

You're another one of the “nones”

Gays in the military can serve openly, while Christians are often made to feel they have to hide their beliefs.

Christians don't dictate their beliefs, while minority groups like gays and atheists constantly try to dictate theirs.

Perry and Gingrich speak about this very point in the included link.

Is Richard Dawkins honest?

No – he is a narrow minded atheist fundamentalist who accuses “religion” of tyranny while he ignores atheistic, communisitic regimes who killed millions.

Cambodia, Tibet.....and others...

Mr. Dawkins may try to dictate his false beliefs, but history tells the truth of the many millions who have died under atheistic communism.

Read about this in the Huffington Post link included below.

In commenting about fossils on the HMS Beagle expedition, Charles Darwin made an interesting observation that has been remembered all these years.

He said,“I have been wonderfully lucky with fossil bones,” Darwin wrote.“Some of the animals must have been of great dimensions: I am almost sure that many of them are quite new.”

And some of them undoubtedly were “new”, lol.

So let's give Darwin credit for at least once saying something honest (even if he didn't mean to).

Poor Ida.....

Scientists thought “Ida” was a missing link, lol.

[Ida was also called “Darwinius masillae.” They gave the old gal a fancy, name, but – alas – poor, plain, humble Ida had no credibility.]

Dr. Erik Seiffert says she doesn't qualify as a missing anything. Ida just belonged to a group of common lemurs, which still live today in Madagascar, Africa and Asia.

Poor Ida was just another hole in evolutionary theory........more fraudulent science.
