They seem to have ABC theology.

Anything
But
Christian

So how do you view Islam, atheists? I want your honest feelings.

Distrust by default. Islam is no friend to the West.

“The Muslim world is a brittle world, sitting atop a fossilized religion, devoid of any type of political or personal freedom and full of desperately poor people; a world threatened by civilization and its prosperity, democratic values and, its freedom."

EVERY religion is mythology. There are no ghosts, there is no magic, and NO ONE knows the future. Are we clear on that?
So quit having a tantrum because we refuse to play YOUR "make-believe" game. You're not special. We don't play that garbage with anyone.

A religion that will kill you for leaving but a least they don't go door to door.

I was raised catholic but jews are the best. No satan, no sin and look at converts with suspicion. they don't through their faith in your face. They are more like a family.

I'm sorry, but Catholics are not Christians. Jack Chick makes excellent points why they are not.

Christianity? Islam? They're practically the same anyway.

They have so much in common.

Including that they're both full of superstitious mumbo jumbo.

Of course Catholics are Christians.

As are the thousands of other denominations, sects and cults that come under the umbrella of Christianity.

Catholicism is on a completely different branch than BIBLICAL Christianity. Even catholics I have known have told me directly to my face, "I'm not Christian I'm Catholic."

Both Muslims and Xtians will lie and kill in the name of their cults.

But, Muslims rarely come on the Topix Atheist Forums, and make asses of themselves.

Christianity covers many different takes and perspectives on the Bible. Just because yours is different, doesn't make you a Christian and Catholics not so.

Anyway. Get rid of the Catholics and the number of Christians in the world are close to the number of atheists. Unless, of course, you are orphaning eastern Orthodox, Unitarians, Mormons and other Christian cults.

In which case the number of Christians falls way below the number of atheists in the world to the level of a minor religion.

Lol

If they did they'd probably make camels of themselves.

Personally, I feel the same way about Islam that I feel about Christianity. They're actually really similar in a lot of ways.. And about equally believable(not very). I don't dislike people people because they are Christian or Muslim, and I'm not going to try to change them(I may explain my logical way of seeing the world, or argue on the side of science if they are denying things, like evolution, that are a big part of what we know about the world, though). Most of the people that I know are Christians(ranging from somewhat reasonable in their thinking to being anti-science). I haven't come across many Muslims here(a few Muslim Facebook friends though), but I don't see why I would view or treat them any differently.

I will urge you to read this-

Catholics do not follow the bible and Christ but their traditions of man. Some individual catholics may be saved but catholicism is infused with all sorts of paganism and does not represent TRUE BIBLICAL Christianity.

I have both bibles at home, protestant and catholic versions. They both follow about the same dogma with a few but little differences. They both believe in the trinity with jesus being god. That pretty much makes them both xtian cults. I love it when a member of one of the cults invokes the "no true scotsman fallacy" against another cult.

Most christianity is infused with "all sorts of paganism." Just look at Christmas. Also, I doubt that there would even be Christianity now if it weren't for Catholicism... Before Martin Luther cam along they were pretty much all there was of it.

In most cases, I think the same of it as I do of Christianity: If people want to follow it, let them. No skin off my nose.
The biggest difference is that the extremists who turn Islamic fundamentalism into the Law of the country, or use Sharia Law to determine what one can and cannot do, usually have a mass message to destroy the west until they give into becoming Islam or die at the hands of Islam.

The only reason I study Christianity currently is because it is the religion I grew up with.
