Are atheists mentally ill?

This contributor with the London UK ISP who uses multiple monikers sounds desperate to believe there's a god.
He's apparently prejudiced against non-believers and willing to believe anything that appears (to him) to discredit them. Perhaps this indicates the harm that raising someone 'in the faith' can do to the human mind - the shameful process of convincing a child that one religion is the 'true faith'. A Jesuit one put it this way, "give me a boy under 7 and I will give you a (Roman) Catholic for life'.
I think Jonny Eve sums-up many a non-believers point of view....
Like most non-believers, Jonny is a happy, successful and well-balanced individual. Our friend with the London ISP seems comparitively unbalanced.(Let's hope he cheers up soon. He sounds a bit depressed :-)
Religion = superstition
