I am going to pretend that some idiot just walked in here and started talking to thin air. And yes, I do mean IDIOT, with a capital I.

This idiot seems to have a fear of the reply buttons and is spaced out to the point that he sees that which does not exist as proof of, that which does not exist.

You repeat yourself way to often.

That is the Way of the Faithful:

To stave off the mind's natural skepticism, the lies of faith must be repeated as often as possible.

That is how indoctrination works; more than anything else, it's just endless repetition.

Of course-- the reverse is also true-- the **cure** for an indoctrinated mind, is to constantly remind it of reality until the skeptical portions of the brain we-awaken.

Pat Robertson was wallking down a beach and sees a little girl with a box of puppies. He walks over to her and looks in the box."oh what cute puppies" he says. "thank you" the girl replies. "these are Christian puppies" she says.

One week later Pat is walking down the same beach with Ann Coulter. He sees the same little girl with the box of puppies and says "Ann, go over there and talk to that little girl about her puppies, she has the sweetest thing to say."

Ann walks up and says "Oh what cute puppies."
"Thank you, these are atheist puppies" she replies.

"Wait a minute" he says with perril in his voice. "Last week you said that these were Christian puppies"

"Yes" she replies, "but now their eyes are open."

An oldie but still brilliant observation.

angel that dumb joke has great irony coming from you. Sounds like something a middle schooler would come up with.

well I guess you have to have a certain mentality in order to laugh at this type of immature joke. Honestly, it sounds like something a middle school kid would make up to try and impress his friends.

yes you need to have a more open minded view of the world in order to find humor in it. That is why I posted it on an atheist forum. That way atheists could read it and get a chuckle because who else would be on an atheist forum reading the posts? Certianly not a Christian, they wouldn't agree with what was being discussed so it would really wouldn't make much sense for them to be on an atheist forum in the first place. Just like I don't go on Christian forums and make rude comments to them. I would consider that to be,how did you put it? Something a middle schooler would do.

The fun thing about religious analogies, is that ironically, they reference the stupidity of you cults own followers...

Can you be even more stupid? Is is possible?

the vast, vast majority of the population believes in God and you are saying that we are the dumb ones? lol You better think again. Cults are small groups of people that think they know it all and that everyone else is wrong. Ring a bell?????

Yes.

Reality is **not** a Popularity Contest.

Reality is **not** American Idol--even though you think it ought to be.

The world was still a sphere--even when most idiots were taught it was flat-- as the bible claims.

Yes, it reminds me of Christianity.
Christianity began as a sect, grew into a cult then a church and then in Europe it became an ecclesia (where church and government are one in the same, you will never see more death and suffering)
Fortunately, religion is on the decline! Less and less people are turning to the religion.

No Anti I never said religious people are the dumb ones. I don't feel that way. I have never said you were "dumb". I don't feel that you are dumb or sad or obsessed or any of the other things that you call people.

Yes I agree with you that a lot of people are still religious but you and I have different reasons as to why.

You have made it apparent that people turn to religion because its the right choice to make because lots of people are doing it. This is called Argumentum ad Populum . "If every ones doing it, it has to be right"

I feel that people turn to religion because they are either indoctrinated at an early age or the church find them in a low, vulnerable time in their life as the do to many people.

As I have said before Anti, I don't come here to fight or to name call. I come here to debate. My ultimate goal here is to find common ground with someone that I have a difference of opinion with. Not to convert you or make you change to my hethenistic ways. It can be done. I have done it many times before. I have found common ground with religious folks. You are quite a challenge though.

ha.......iseeyou you think 90% of the world is delusional???? See how ignorant you sound?

angel.........you are making things up again. The only way people become Christians is if they are indoctrinated or at a low point? oh boy........where do you get this stuff? Atheists claim to rely totally on facts yet you come up with these wild claims with absolutely no evidence of it. I was neither a christian at a young age nor was I at a low point. Same goes for most the people I know. Next time try discussing something you actually know about.

No, the correct value is more like 60% or so-- not everyone in the world thinks or believes as **you** do.

In any case?

Reality isn't a popularity contest-- it just is.

Even when most of the world **believed** the world was flat?

Did not make the world flat.

At the time most of the world was ...**delusional**.

Deal with it.

Correct. No **sane** adult person would fall for that guff.
