horrible thoughts? lol.........and what horrible thoughts are you talking about? You are so dramatic. Its so funny when the politically correct crowd use words like hateful, zealot, close minded, bigot, etc. They then turn right around and insult Christians and seem to be fine with it. You people are so hypocritical.

Admit it...you are in favor of homosexuality and abortion.
Even your fellow Christians would call you hateful...I can guarantee it lol.

2. I observe the precept of abstaining from taking that which is not given.

5. I observe the precept of abstaining from intoxicants that cloud the mind and cause carelessness.
The five precepts of Buddhism. Over a thousand years older than christianity. More compact than the ten commandments, no extraneous stuff about worship of a deity. And the focus is on the commitment of the follower to the precepts, rather than on the precepts being externally commanded. Rules which one takes to heart and commits to following are more likely to be followed than those imposed from outside.
Since the inhabitants of the middle east had no knowledge of the civilizations of the far east, it is highly unlikely that the 10 Commandments were taken from the Precepts. The independent arising of similar codes of morality in different civilizations separated by thousands of years and thousands of miles suggests that these principles are universal.
1. I observe the precept of abstaining from the destruction of life. No, many vegetables and some animals have died to sate my appetites

2. I observe the precept of abstaining from taking that which is not given. Yes.

3. I observe the precept of abstaining from sexual misconduct. Yes.

4. I observe the precept of abstaining from falsehood. Yes.

5. I observe the precept of abstaining from intoxicants that cloud the mind and cause carelessness.
Yes, but only because the amount I consume is too small to cause these effects.

YOU SAID THAT 3 HOURS AGO!

here it is, your words:

there is no need for atheists to have morality. You are hypocritical by on one hand saying we are just accidents and that life really has no meaning then on the other hand saying we should be moral. You think we just evolved and are basically just animals. You think animals care about morality? Of course not.

are you not even keeping up with what you, yourself are saying?
Are you anywhere near as frustrated with this "person" as I am lol

And then the enemy was reborn in the form of another bottle...

Many of the lay Buddhists I know are rather fond of cognac, a hangover (pun intended) from the French occupation of Southeast Asia. When the Precept is hem, they say, "Alcohol is the enemy. I must destroy the enemy consuming it until the bottle is empty, so that no other Buddhists will be tempted."

Antiatheist does not believe all that he/she says. He/she just wants to troll the site and make non- sequential arguments that he/she will not respond to or back up after making the statement.

Pretty much ignorant rants about nothing.

You have no basis for your belief if you are an atheist/evolutionist. You have to borrow from Christianity which is very hypocritical of you. You can't have it both ways dear.
On the subject of morality, are you in favor of homosexuality and abortion? Of course you are.
That creationist mental illness had rot your brain.

guess you can't come up with an answer so you start personal insults. You have been lied to my friend. We didn't come from any apelike ancestor.

Nobody said it did.

Rule of Law is a purely **human** invention.

It invokes **no** gods of **any** kind-- it is all our own making.

That is why it is 100% superior to your monster-god ideas.

ALL gods, regardless, have been depicted as monsters.

Without exception--

-- and your god, more than most.

Yes we did-- apes and humans share the same ancestor.

Proof? http://www.talkorigins.org/

To deny the **fact** of evolution is to deny reality.

Sad.

Yeah, it's really sad to see rational human beings denying the very facts of reality in place of some delusion that doesn't make any sense at all.

Creationists try hard, but ultimately fail to make an impression with their hallucinations in this forum.

Good luck in real life.
