Surely there's more to a education in History at that level than an individual can pick up in a library. Analyzing patterns or how events interrelate on a global scale or something. A whole that is greater than the sum of it's parts. I'd love to have a Ph.D. in History ... but McDonald's already has enough burger flippers! LOL
Contrived? How? To what end? Of course, History isn't really "science" in the strictest sense, but maybe they're testing the anti-religion waters, seeing how it goes. I didn't know most professors were "paid to represent" anything. That would certainly shoot a hole in their credibility. Your response seems, somehow, contrived.
Why don't you two get a room and discuss it privately?

Yeah, one of those comments like that. I knew it didn't have sh#t to do with religion.

I "ply my trade" in multiple refineries and chemical plants. My hair, urine and breath are analyzed randomly (but regularly, if that makes sense) and to the Department of Transportation's rather stringent standards. I consider scrutiny of this kind an insult, an invasion of privacy and an infringement against my personal liberty, as would any Right Thinking American..

You're right. You can also use the internet to do history research.

If you were to ask a Professor of Economics, "was religion the motivating factors of modern day wars?'' you would get an "absolutely not" for an answer. Same answer would be given from a Sociology Professor of Phycology Professor.

The professor in question not only has a Ph.D. in History but also works for a privately funded religious university. Google his name and I'm sure you will find why religion is the main theme for his book that is being promoted in the article.

What I was referring to when using contrived was the article, not his book. I haven't read his book so I can't comment on it other than why he wrote it. He wrote it because his job required him to. And I've read enough books by professors to say that it is not only biased toward his job, but is ten times longer than it needs to be to get his point across. I love using Amazon because I can read the forward of a book based on opinion from reseach and get most of the information about it without having to pay for or driving to get it.

Your desperation continues to raise its ugly head. I guarantee that you are receiving some type of government assistance as we speak. My guess is you applied for, and received, disability because your obesity keeps you from holding down any type of meaningful employment. The sad things is that it has allowed you to sit on the computer all day cyber bullying Karen and who knows what else.
LOL! I hope you don't spend a lot of time in the casinos.

Sounds to me like you know a lot about "government assistance". Maybe you need a new computer monitor. The new ones are a lot less reflective.

I don't know how long it takes you to post a few threads, but it doesn't take me all day, but I don't use Judge it! like you do.

As you can probably tell -The Artist- is extremely racist. I have taken exception to his racist remarks in the past so he has decided to portray me as the race and sex he hates the most.

Anyone who has a job anymore seems like they are drug tested all the time. I was reading a thread a while back about drug testing people who received government assistance and people became furious. Its drug tested people who pay the taxes, which in return pays the people on government assistance. Shouldn't people who draw welfare gets tested just like the rest of us?

All of us or none of us. My vote is for none of us. Mankind managed to survive without it up until the last 20 years or so. Of course, now an entire industry has sprung up around it, virtually insuring that it's here to stay.
