<quoted text>When you can allow yourself to question what you've been told was true, and actually applying logic and reason, the lies of religion become glaringly apparent.

There is a reason "faith" (belief without evidence) is puffed-up and harped on as something special... without it, religion can't sell their product.
And?

The weekly (or more frequent) repetition of the lies is a **requirement** to keep reinforcing the Fairy Tale.

Without that constant brainwashing? Faith soon withers, for lack of facts to support it.

They base their lives on fresh air. That bible makes a great doorstop. The front door will stay open in anything less than gale force winds. It's also handy for getting things off the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet.
Emergency Toilet paper. And kindling too.

Yes... you are nothing but a coward, hiding behind a grey box.

And you **still** cannot muster sufficient brainpower to move that little mouse up to the "REPLY" linky...

... too much for your abilities, apparently.

how can you honestly believe the universe happened by chance? Give me YOUR reasons why you think something came from nothing and eventually turned into a very complex and perfect universe completely by chance. Do you now realize the odds are too great against that? Are you that dense? Are you the kind that buys power ball tickets because you think its pretty good odds?
Why do you assume this is the only alternative to the existence of a deity? I think that the laws of physics have been active since there has been existence (whether or not that happened finitely far in the past). I think that causality is an aspect of the physical universe and so it makes no sense to ask for a cause of the universe. I think it likely (but not certain) that there was a previous contraction phase before the Big Bang and that time (and matter and energy) is eternal. And I think that the laws of physics produce complexity naturally in systems that are far from equilibrium.

you can "think" that all you want but its simply your opinion and no more valid than a Christians opinion. Ultimately every man has to make the decision what to believe in and suffer the consequences.

Actually it *is* more valid because it is based on the evidence. Threats do not make evidence.

You were as christian as he is now-- likely more so.
You certainly appear to be more kind than he-- closer to the ideals of the legend.
In contrast to his spiteful attitude.
Thank you Bob...:)

see you.....if you think about it....this world/universe starting randomly and evolving just is way too far fetched. I mean what are the chances??? To me thats even more unbelievable then a God could ever be. The odds are just too great against it. It couldn't have happened. I'm curious how old you are
It may be unbelievable to you, but the amount of data that is shown through several different forms of science says that it is the most possible scenario. It's not correct to say that it's not possible and that it couldn't have happened. I am 32.

terry......you are comparing the odds of the entire universe against the odds of shuffling one deck of cards??????? Come on man you can come up with something better than that. The odds against the universe randomly happening and evolving into this perfect structure are way worse than you winning the power ball. In other words, it didn't happen.
amused you are getting way ahead of yourself. What are the chances of stars forming and the milky way galaxy even forming in the first place? Pardon the pun but its astronomical. It didn't happen. Face it.
You're just trying to make people angry. You know very well, even if you just took middle school science) how this all works. Now the christian school curriculum only has a 30 page book about science, and if this is the education you got then it is understandable that you may very well believe what you say.

Yes, it is child abuse.. There is no good reason to do that to a child...especially not for religious reasons. Don't be ridiculous. If you think it's fine because of religion then you are a nut, and if you are too lazy to teach your kid how to wash his parts then well....that's just freakin bad and lazy parenting.

Then why are you on here debating it?

Veiled threats of hell notwithstanding-- it's not simply a matter of opinion.

Your god cannot be proven to exist-- so you fall back on the old saw of threats of infinite torture by your hate-god.

You are just sad. That which does not exist, has no reason to be evaded, and when it doesn't exist, there will be no links possible.

Losing a foreskin, or worse losing clitoris, labia and even parts of the vulva, between the ages of six and nine years old is horrific child abuse. You idiots claim a perfect god, and then you take broken glass and razor blades to what you claim as his handiwork. There is always as a religitard or two willing to fix what you lot think your god couldn't get right.

well see you I can see you have no interest in the truth. You have been so brain washed its pitiful. If you are lucky enough to have some time before you know you are dying I'm pretty sure you will change your tune. If you aren't that lucky then you will be going to hell and its your own fault.
