So, if I spend a good portion of my life helping to heal sick orphans, feeding the hungry, helping the homeless, etc, it is going to be 'balanced out', by -- say a terrorist blowing up bus full of nuns halfway around the world?

What's the sense of 'doing good' if -- according to you -- it will just result in someone else doing evil to balance the scales?

I'm not talking about human actions. I'm talking about the physical universe. There is coming a time when evil human actions will all but disappear and there will be a perfect world.

that's funny, as even your proven false god is imperfect. he is a slave owning, jealous, petty, vindictive being...how could a god like that make a perfect world when he cannot even control his own human frailties?

of course, the facts i gave you just prove that your god was created by humans, and not a real god at all..

it is nice you dream of perfection, but a proven false god will certainly not bring it for you....

Perhaps it would help if you knew what the word atheist means.

There is no reason that you cannot be both.

You are a theist I take it. Dose that mean you believe in Allah and Odin? According to your logic you would have to to be a theist.

You cannot name any god or gods that Dawkins believes in, that makes him an Atheist. Perhaps it would help if you parsed the word.

'I can't be sure God DOES NOT exist': World's most notorious atheist Richard Dawkins admits he is in fact agnostic
By SUZANNAH HILLS
UPDATED: 09:45 EST, 24 February 2012

Professor Richard Dawkins today dismissed his hard-earned reputation as a militant atheist - admitting that he is actually agnostic as he can't prove God doesn't exist.
The country's foremost champion of the Darwinist evolution, who wrote The God Delusion, stunned audience members when he made the confession during a lively debate on the origins of the universe with the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Professor Dawkins, the former Oxford Professor for the Public Understanding of Science, is a dedicated admirer of Charles Darwin, regarding the Victorian pioneer of evolution as the man who explained ‘everything we know about life’.

All smiles: Scholar Richard Dawkins, left, with the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, right, ahead of their debate at Oxford University

But when Archbishop Dr Rowan Williams suggested that Professor Darwin is often described as the world's most famous atheist, the geneticist responded:'Not by me'.
He said:'On a scale of seven, where one means I know he exists, and seven I know he doesn't, I call myself a six.'
Professor Dawkins went on to say he believed was a '6.9', stating:'That doesn't mean I'm absolutely confident, that I absolutely know, because I don't.'

They were discussing 'The Nature of Human Beings and the Question of their Ultimate Origin' when Professor Dawkins admitted he was agnostic rather than an atheist
The two high-profile figures were debating whether Biblical writers 'got it wrong' by not saying that the universe is billions of years old.
The Archbishop said:'The writers of the Bible, inspired as I believe they were, were not inspired to do 21st century physics, they were inspired to pass on to their readers what God wanted them to know.
'In the first book of the Bible is the basic information - the universe depends on God, humanity has a very distinctive role in that universe , and humanity has made rather a mess of it.'

But Professor Dawkins said he was 'baffled' by 'the way sophisticated theologians who know Adam and Eve never existed still keep talking about it'.
This latest admission by Professor Dawkins comes after he was left lost for words name the full title of his scientific hero’s most famous work during a radio discussion last week in which he accused Christians of being ignorant of the Bible.
In his frustration, he resorted to a helpless:‘Oh God.’

you misunderstood what he was saying...and what ans atheist is.

but then you are stupid as a box of rocks...

i guess it is easier for you to blame some fictitious god for your stupidity than taking personal responsibility for educating yourself..but that would interfere with your american idol watching now, wouldn't it...?

Wasn't Satan banished to Hell already? Who let him out?

Is that sort of like Superman and Lex Luther, Batman and the Joker, Me and my Arch Nemesis?

When Adam died and went to heaven, his name was changed to Satan. He went to heaven to preserve his life, if you go to hell, you're a goner. He was the son of God and has been reincarnated as the father of God to bring Messiah/God into the world. Genetically, he's the only one that could do that. The Messiah is the second or seed of Eve and she is Adams daughter. This time, Satan will go to hell and will be punished and executed with a sword. Isaiah 27:1. His residency in hell will be permanent.

If Adam died, then how could he preserve his life? Being has he was already dead, it seems a moo point.

It would take more than genetics to account for a son becoming his own grandfather.

Technology has advanced greatly since the Old Testament was thought up, I think we can do better than a sword. There are numerous modern poisons, firearms, electrical devices and explosives that would do the trick.

When his residency is up do you think he will work at a hospital or go into private practice?

Adam (Satan) is responsible for the "crucifixion" and he will be punished in the same way. An eye for an eye, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. He tortured the Messiah for 9 hours and enjoyed it. He is incredibly sadistic and that is how he gets off. He also has never and will never repent. If he did, things would be different, you can't change the past. The Messiah has been planning this for 44 years and he will get a double portion, 18 hours.

Your holy book mentions nothing about a symmetrical rule. It says that your god is god, yet he decided to create both evil and good.
Your god is the overlord of Satan. Satan carries out his orders.

This old news is hardly a revelation. Dawkins simply knows the difference between science and non-falsifiable claims, and that from a scientific view he knows the God concept can't be falsified. Same as the Cosmic Sheep.

It's fundies who generally portray Dawkins as some kind of anti-Christ fundamentalist atheist, usually invoking him as some kind of prophet of biological evolution that we all worship (which is of course not the case). I point out that it doesn't matter even if he is a fundie atheist as his theological opinions aren't relevant to the validity of science, but from what little I've read of his own words, blunt and to the point he may be, but not a fundie.

Or more like how fundies get off, since they make up all this twisted BS in the first place.(shrug)

"I would say to the House, as I said to those who have joined this Government, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many long months of toil and struggle.

"You ask what is our policy. I will say, it is to wage war with all our might, with all the strength that God can give us, to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime.

Your point? Or does the mere act of typing "God" give you a happy?

Those that deny the existence of God and do not accept Jesus Christ as the Saviour are in danger of eternal damnation and Hellfire. Get on your knees right now, fold your hands, and bow your head with eyes closed and humbly ask His divine forgiveness. O ye wicked blasphemers!

Another desperate and cruel theist wishing his imagination upon fellow human beings that cause him no harm, out of fear of personal mortality.
