Dawkins, who is no stranger to Twitter controversy following alleged anti-Muslim comments he made back in August, declared on the micro-blogging site that ‘Bin Laden has won, in airports of the world every day’ after security took away his jar of honey.
The outspoken atheist, who came to prominence with his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, criticised what he called ‘dundridges’- his word for petty jobsworths - and described the confiscation of his honey as a 'STUPID waste.'
The latest outburst follows a tweet in August in which he said: "All the world's Muslims have fewer Nobel Prizes than Trinity College, Cambridge. They did great things in the Middle Ages, though."
He was widely criticised by fellow twitter-users who claimed his comments were 'anti-Muslim'.
Last month the academic once again found himself at the centre of a row over an interview he gave to the Times Magazine in which he appeared to suggest he was the victim of 'mild paedophilia' at school and that current cases of historical child sex abuse had been overblown.
"I am very conscious that you can't condemn people of an earlier era by the standards of ours", he said.
There was little sympathy today in response to the tweets regarding the confiscated honey.
why are you so focused on personalities? the cult of personality? you are a cult member through and through....\

so sad. and you had the ability to think for yourself and you squandered it...what a waste you are...

The commercial success of his book wasn't hard to explain. Long ago Darwin's theory of evolution had toppled the creation story found in the Book of Genesis, and through a domino effect the toppling continued.

By the time The God Delusion appeared in 2006, organized religion was still in decline, and millions of readers were happy to seize on a "scientific" book that relieved them of any guilt over not going to church or temple.

Atheism was held out by Dawkins as the only enlightened position one could take on the God question. He anticipated that readers would flock to become atheists with himself in the lead, a social movement that never, in fact, materialized.

Polls continue to show that well over 80% of people believe in God, and something like 1 in 8 atheists go to church, while no massive surge in unbelief has occurred.

yes, your cult is very strong. even when shown the irrefutable truth that your cult is based upon proven lies, millions still adhere to the cult line.

this is very common with cults. even when shown the truth that the cult member cannot deny, they often repeat the cult mantra, as it is all they know, all that gives them comfort.

you cult people are freaks...

It toppled it because its scientifically accurate and there is mountains of evidence for evolution being a fact.

Several principles of evolution are used in medicine to save lives, but creationists like you are ignorant and deny reality.

This affects how your group is seen in society - deranged crazy idiots who try to argue against hard science.

They seized upon is because its factually accurate and exposes your cowardly cult.

Your creationist cult that can't prove any of the worthless bullsh*t it adds to this world.

Now you're just making this sh*te up.

Dawkins supports atheism because you're religious liars with no proof of god.

That's why the book is called "The God Delusion" - he proved that you're delusional mentally ill people who reject reality and honesty in favour or your mindless, proofless cults.

Polls continue to show, most of the world is hungry, staving and illiterate.

Are these the people we should be trusting with the nature of the universe? or hard working scientists that find real evidence and report their findings without any fear of the supernatural?

Show a little respect to the scientists that give you running water, gas, electricty, medicine, roads, products, streets, baby clothes.

Show some respect you theist cowards for what science has brought into your world you ignorant cretins.

Then, if you mistrust scientists, why not prove your god?

The truth is that you can't because you're worthless cowardly liars with no shame.

That is the fact that atheist have to deal with everyday.

LCN - you prove everyday that creationist like your self and gutless cowards who cannot answer the questions:

1. "If god is real, where is your evidence?"

2. "Why can't you disprove evolution?"

3. Why do you continue to lie about god when you have no evidence?"

4. "Why does your cult tell you to lie about scientific facts?"

5. "Why is your cult so involved with politics and controlling women via abortion"

6. "Why does your cult hate gays and gay marriage? when it has no proof of any justification for this hate?"

7. "Why does it continue to lie after it has been exposed?"

8. "Why don't you seek treatment for your mental illness?"

These are all questions that atheists ask of you cult members and you are all cowards that run away from the questions or get angry because you know god isn't real and you've been found out for lying.

And again. Talk about projection. Fundies think the universe was created especially for them, that the Creator thinks they are special in his eyes (he's only got a whole universe to worry about) and that lying (or in fact doing anything wrong) isn't a problem because God will forgive them them all their sins so they can live forever in paradise. Oh, and if you wanna say something bad is good, like say, wiping out everyone you hate, just say that's what your god wants. And nothing god does can be evil cuz God sez so.

There's your sociopathy.

That's nice. It's worth pointing out here that evolution and atheism are separate concepts. Science doesn't really care what theology has to say.

Then, explain why the Department of Health and Human Services has a Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships? http://www.hhs.gov/partnerships/

In March 2004, the director of that office announced that $40 billion in federal funding was available for faith based organizations from the federal government.

Putting your fingers in your ears and shouting "Liar, Liar I can't hear you" doesn't make facts go away. I guess once you accept the big lie of an invisible imaginary friend, it is quite easy for you to ignore lesser realities as well.

The universe is an astral projection of the mind and imagination of God. It is limitless and ever expanding. The mind is part of what survives the death of the soul (body), it is connected with the spirit.
