Many varieties of Christians, and Muslims, on the other hand, have views that are very closely related to their theology that result in horrible evil actions. The religion itself in its holy books may permit or may require such horrid actions. And even more, the socalled priesthood of many of the cults within those religions contain many advocates of evil-doing in the name of their religions.
I do not claim that is true of all of them. I do not even claim that in the case of Assad for example, that it is more his religion than his tribe that causes all the horrors of his regime. I do not know the link between the tribalism and the Shia version of Islam in his case, and I even think that family pride and lust for power may be powerful in his motives as well as his religion.
It is crazy to over-generalize. Most situations are complex, and most individuals have complex motives. But it is very wrong to falsely define words, as you do, and then make false accusations based on your false definitions.
