Don't cry, I know you were expecting the forum to just lie down and swallow your bullsh*t. It must be traumatic for you to have to receive the treatment that you have earned with your stupidity.

We observe, as has often been noted, something peculiarly evangelistic about what has been termed the new atheist evangelist movement ... It is no exaggeration to describe the movement popularized by the likes of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens as a new and particularly zealous form of fundamentalism -- an atheist fundamentalism. Door to door atheists much like the Jehovah's Witnesses.

What else?

They really don't have sufficient faith themselves-- they are desperately hoping someone else will explain it to them I suppose...

Apparently, it was actually intended to be a commercial for scientology. Scientologists and mormons both recruit new members by not disclosing some of their more absurd beliefs up front. New members are given mild pablum until they are so invested in the new belief system that they don't bolt when the really crazy stuff is finally trotted out.
You have to be a scientologist for quite a while before they tell you about the intergalactic soap opera with Xemu and the Thetans. Mormon missionaries are taught "milk before meat", meaning that just as babies are given milk before they are old enough to handle meat, so new recruits and new converts need to be reeled in and firmly convinced before they spring the really strange stuff on them.
Would enjoy atheist commercials or documentary

Wouldn't a commercial about 'nothing' just be a shorter Seinfeld?

Evidence please.

His later writings showed disgust at the hypocrisy of Christians and the foolishness of their beliefs, that does not mean he was bitter.

A militant atheist is one who is hostile towards religion. They differ from moderate atheists because they have the desire to propagate atheism and also hold religion to be harmful.
Militant atheism was an integral part of the French Revolution, Soviet Union, Cultural Revolution, and is expresses itself today in the ideas of the New Atheist authors.

That is not being bitter. Perhaps you need work on your sense of humor.
