A recent Doctor Pepper ad touting the " Evolution of Flavor" angers Christians who reject the scientific theory of evolution.

Judged: 1 Heavens, the last time I drank Dr. Pepper, me and my two ADD brothers ran off to the local zoo for days at a time and slept with the monkeys and tortured penguins with fireworks. Dr. Pepper made me suck my first bong at age 4 and I was stone drunk by 7 and regularly blacked out by age 10, but not before slapping my pothead babysitter and stealing her credit card to buy a Game Boy and a small Cessna, which I flew all the way to Mexico before crashing into a tortilla factory and breaking my spine in 12 places and rupturing my kidneys. I paid a Mexican mafia doctor named Mannie 50 bucks to swap with black-market kidneys stolen from unwary tourists. Dr. Pepper is the very Devil! |

Quite right. And how many Creationists can there be? Even in religion-ravaged USA? I suspect the protests come from the loud, not the many - and certainly not from the sensible. |

This is probably why KFC didn't release their Big Bang burger. It's a new taste sensation that rapidly expands to all the taste buds in your mouth.

Do you hear atheists moan and whine when ads use religious fiction in them (e.g. noah's fart)? No, we don't.
For those who forget, this isn't the first "controversy" involving Dr. Pepper. That was the brand which put "one nation...indivisible" on its cans, and the christards got pissy about that one, too. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/under... The christards can't pretend to be oppressed unless they make up fake examples. And even then, the sane and educated usually see through it. I doubt that those who run the Dr. Pepper division of pepsico are atheists, they're probably just irreverent. Remember, these are the same idiots who gave the green light to Dr. Pepper "Ten". Why aren't the christards upset about that ad campaign? Oh, right, they don't object because it's a tasteless and sexist/anti-woman ad campaign. . |
