Aurora Shootings Result Of 'Ongoing Attacks On Judeo-Christian Beliefs'

Jul 21, 2012 | Posted by: Hedonist | Full story: www.huffingtonpost.com

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Friday that the shootings that took place in an Aurora, Colo. movie theater hours earlier were a result of "ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs" and questioned why nobody else in the theater had a gun to take down the shooter.

I guess you were unable to understand that.
So your answer basically was because there is a one in a hundred million chance that there might be a killer there with a gun?

I know that that makes no sense to me.

So many religitards. Why couldn't this nutjob choose a church instead of a movie theater?

Maybe they were afraid it would/could get stolen if left at home. People get paranoid after having their homes burglarized.

Another Right wing propaganda article.
The shooting was the result of the attacks on Jesus, how come no one else had a gun in the theater? How stupid...
Well, I seem to remember Jesus did not have a gun.
If he would have been granted the right to carry a gun, he would have most likely declined.
No one else in the theater had a gun because most of them WERE GOOD CHRISTIANS.
There were these tablets some guy named Mosses got from God.It as a list of rules, Commandments if you will.
THOU SHALT NOT KILL. That is the first one.
IT's not Thou shalt not kill, unless someone really deserves it, it's "Thou shalt not Kill"

Having a gun for "protection" completely goes against all of god's teachings. Nowhere does God say it is OK to protect yourself with deadly force.
Why is it so easy to deny the very first Commandment from God?

I love the Christian mental gymnastics necessary to justify breaking God's #1 commandment.
guns do one thing kill. It don't matter who is holding it, good guy or bad guy, someone is going to die.
Guns are dumb.
I don't have one, and I'm not scared.

Actually, it says "thou shall not murder". It was a mistranslation from Hebrew in the KJV.

Well this story does come out of Texas and after seeing dumbass Rick Perry not much surprises me out of the Lone star state anymore when it comes to ignorance. After all they want to ban critical thinking in schools.

When freedom is "restricted", there is no longer freedom. Slippery slope there, restricting freedoms - whose to say what rights everyone should have, and are those rights distributed in an equitable fashion? Gun control has always had racist and economic roots, meant to help enslave certain groups of people. A little education in history is very revealing as to the past reasons for gun control.
"Sensible" gun control is another newspeak phrase, meant to coerce people into giving up their natural rights to self-defense, one magazine and restriction at a time, and it's obvious to all except the gullible.
Oh that's for sure. Why, you just never know when the King of England will march up to your doorstep and attempt to house his men at your place of residence.

I'm pretty sure the first one is "thou shall have no other gods before me" :

So I'm sure since it says not to kill, you're a vegan?

Anyone who is anti-gun obviously falls into one or more of those categories. Makes a person wonder just where their lives went wrong. To choose to not own a gun or exercise that natural right is one thing. To try to take away others rights to self-protection is just plain wrong.
WHAT !!?? No anti-gun = anti-Christian ?? I'm surprised and disappointed.

I do not believe in God even a little bit.
I'm also not a Vegan...I do know a couple. They are constantly bitching about the gross crap they have to eat, it's not for me.
I was simply pointing out a lunatic shooting people in cold blood has nothing to do with people expressing their own religious freedoms. The only thing worse than making something like a political issue, is making it a religious issue.
It's a that guy was F'n nutz issue...period
Guns do a lot of killing. They are capable of killing in a second, and everybody can have one.
Last thing I would want to do is take away your right to own a handgun. But HAving one does little to garua
ntee your safety.
The NRA has done a great deal to make sure even people who don't eat everyday can keep a loaded gun in their hovel.
Talking about Jesus and guns at the same time is dumb, eve an athiest knows that. Jesus did not preach deadly force in retaliation. His message was a little different.

Then perhaps you should have been a little more clear or pointed out that you were being sarcastic. It's hard to determine those things when in written form.

Just as an aside, your Bible knowledge is a little lacking. That doesn't sound like an atheist at all. Just sayin

I disagree, you may want to run away to save your life, doesn't mean other men who happened to have had a gun would act the same way. There are brave men out there willing to act to save others, possible endangering their own lives.
Just what does a "well trained man" mean? It's not that difficult to aim a weapon. We expect 17, 18, 19 year olds to go to war, yet grown up men are supposed to not be able to do what they do? I think there are men who would act to save lives, maybe you're not o ne of them, OK.
I could care less what the police say, they want to control everything. That thinking led to 9/11.
It's idiots like you who make bad situations worse with your unrealistic, imaginary, "real man" ideas. I bet you can't wait until you turn twelve and get your first gun.

You don't care what the cops say? LOL!!!! More idiot talk from little Johnny nobody. Ummm...., I mean big, bad, real man, tough guy, shootin' em dead with one shot, "I coulda saved the day", "just let me at em,", "we need more people shootin in a dark theater", "just like the good ole days", mr rightness. LOL!!! Idiot.

You don't have to resort to insults.

I served my country in the U.S Army. I was raised with guns, still have them.

It isn't an issue of bravado, although you seem to think it is, and that speaks more to your insecurities than mine.

The issue is you like to assume that only responsible, well trained and competent people will be carrying weapons into public places, ready to confront, engage and over come any and all threats. There will never be an accident where a stray bullet hits a child, no innocents will be injured, and the man who decides to take matters into his own hands will never be mistaken.

He will be glorious in his actions and the praise that is lauded upon him...

hahahaa

And that man is YOU.

LOLZ...riiight.

These psycho sick bastards count on no resistance when they plot this stuff, they're all cowards who would run at the first sign of resistance. It's all to easy for them to find a place where there will be no resistance.
Sadly.
IMO no one should be able to buy what he did over the internet. Ordering 6,000 rounds should raise some red flags.
Oh no tough guy!!! I bet you just WISH you could have been there with your old six gun strapped to yer side, jus waitin' to plug that thar bad guy. I bet you would have whipped that .357 mag out and dropped him with just one shot!!!

Or maybe you would have just fired one shot in the air, and given him that steel-eyed look, and he would have ran away from the "real man". LOL!!!

Tell me, on what do you base your assesment that "they're all cowards who would run at the first sign of resistance."? Where did you come up with that info? Let me guess, you heard Clint Eastwood say it once in the movies!!!
