Nobody puts forth all this effort for a frivolous cause.

Yes, there is that too.

Religion is the perfect scam: it purports an imaginary "problem", called "sin".

And claims to have the equally imaginary "cure", called "salvation".

How... very... convenient.

And nobody can question it, either,'cause all the "consequences" allegedly take place after you die.

A perfect setup for the shills; PT Barnum would've understood.

NEW YORK ó When he visits the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem next week,
US President Barack Obama will be looking to signal solidarity with the Middle Eastís Christian communities, the White House said on Thursday.

Many of the regionís Christian populations are embattled minorities, and Obamaís trip to the church, believed by many to be
the site of Jesusí birth, is intended as a message to the regionís oft-persecuted Christian minority.

ďItís been a very difficult series of challenges for Christian communities in the region,Ē White House Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communication Ben Rhodes said Thursday on a conference call with reporters.

Well, yes-- he's foolish alright.
I've actually seen the short video where he praises a banana as somehow "proof" of his silly god's work.
All the while ignoring the coconut, or an avocado... or even the potato, which at one time was considered about the only single-source food item which provides a lot of the nutrients a human needed to get by on.
You'd think that he'd have mentioned the potato... it's a better argument for "design" than ever the banana was.
But I digress.
:D
The funniest thing about that video is that he is talking about the present day bannana. The bannana he is referencing has been improved and modified by science, and bears little resembalance to what a banana would have loked like even a hundred years ago!

Oh, certainly! The modern banana has evolved through quite a few changes, due to human interference.

Without evolution? That would be impossible...

... too funny, really.
