For your information there only about two .2 billion Christians which 50% are Roman Catholic.

For if you're not Catholic you are considered a Protestant and that reduces your number to about one .1 billion, which is less than the number of atheists at one .3 billion.

Look it up it's on the Internet scan adherence world's religions

Suggest you use Britannica instead of Wikipedia

MY FEELING AS A CHRISTIAN POINTS ME TO MY LORD AND SAVIOUR AS A FIGHTER. IT
POINTS ME TO THE MAN WHO ONCE IN LONELINESS, SURROUNDED ONLY BY A FEW
FOLLOWERS, RECOGNIZED THESE JEWS FOR WHAT THEY WERE AND SUMMONED MEN TO THE FIGHT AGAINST THEM AND WHO, GOD'S TRUTH! WAS GREATEST NOT AS SUFFERER BUT AS FIGHTER. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the
passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the
scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and of adders. How
terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison.

How much you learned in Sunday school?

Science has jammed the gods into infinitesimally smaller and smaller spaces. The proof is that you are here on topix. How little is your god?
Sure? Yet I've said science is pathetic when it talks about the past and our history, not the present life.

God has been involved a lot more in my life. He gave me the best girlfriend I could wish for, the best family, a loving church, a successful life in Academics and sport. If it wasn't for God, I would've been sitting on the side of the street.
Science only proves and talks about the obvious, but when it comes to something that Science just can't answer, then it has to get all technical.

G'day mate!(you'll have to pardon the Aussie slang):-/

I hope you have a special coffee brewing, I'm enjoying some blue Mountain right now.

RE your post... "Hate"

For some odd reason religious people become incensed when you do not believe their faith.

They have confused us with attacking their deity, this is quite illogical because we simply don't believe one exists!

Why are they here? why not simply ignore us?

The vitriol begins, filled with hatred and contempt,
And as you've read from the many posts it becomes almost a sideshow carnival.

The more animated and heated conversation... the more they degrade themselves and become unintentional 'poster children' for atheism, but way too dense to grasp this.

When they begin with the insults you've already 'won'(if this matters, meh...narcissistic keeping score, and patting one self on the back), behaviors indicative of a disturbed mind.

And deliberately ignorant by personal choice, The fear of death is so great they can't let loose.

Lack of belief does not indicate a lack of character.

In fact, lack of belief is perfectly reasonable and logical.
A) No evidence
B) A manual e.g. Bible containing hearsay {Evidence} 300 to 400 years after the event.
C ) A plethora of competing faiths, all claiming only their god is the 'true' one.
D) A history of violence, Child abuse, treating women as second-class citizens and property.
E) The reason for the dark ages

So as you can see the lack of evidence is compelling. Yes I would truly love to believe this,
however... commonsense, reason, truth, and logic prevail, thus this is not possible for me and never has been.

Lol. 1.3billion. Man, You must be so dumb. There is 1billion Atheists in 2014 currently and second of all, am I dumb because science can't prove their theories. I know Science and love Science, There's only one reason why religious people see science as a bad thing, and that's because Atheists think because their Atheist, therefore their automatically a scientist of some sort. ATHEISM IS NOT SCIENCE.
You think you are a friendly person. No, you just a ignorant Atheist who thinks religious people do just evil and wrong. Just a pathetic Atheist who thinks that nothing, absolutely nothing, made life.
If I was you, I would at least say thank you God for giving me life and not try disproving him of creating me.

VATICAN CITY Pope Francis will officiate at the weddings of 20 couples who plan to tie the knot at St. Peter’s Basilica on Sept. 14.

The Vatican said Friday (Aug. 29) that the couples, all from Rome, would be married by the pope, who is also recognized as the bishop of Rome.

The papal Mass celebrating the couples’ marriage will take place just three weeks before the extraordinary bishops’ synod on the family at the Vatican in October.

In June, the pope celebrated Mass at the chapel in his Santa Marta residence with 15 couples that were marking 25 to 60 years of marriage.

During the service, he said the pillars of a successful marriage were fidelity, perseverance and fertility, but made headlines around the world when he urged couples not to replace children with cats and dogs.

“It might be better — more comfortable — to have a dog, two cats, and the love goes to the two cats and the dog. Is this true or not? Have you seen it?

“Then, in the end this marriage comes to old age in solitude, with the bitterness of loneliness.“

What was taught in your school about science in general and evolution in particular? Was it the position you express here? If so, how could its science program be "top-rated"? Did that rating come from a religious source or a secular one? If not, did you disagree with your teachers at the time or did you change your mind later? If later, how did that come about?

Your statements about science reflect so little understanding of its principles that it's hard to take them seriously. They have the hallmarks of the kind of biased approach that thinks about science only enough to make a feeble attempt to refute it.

Like many skeptics, I like science, not because it supports unbelief in God--it doesn't--but because it's amazing. Just look at http://www.sciencedaily.com/ on any given day. From the evolution of universal facial expressions and new insights into Ebola to regenerating joints with new cartilage tissue engineered from nasal septum, today's page shows how research continues to better our lives while making them more interesting. Scientists are among the most useful people on the planet.

A god has not been involved in your life and you know this as well as we do. If so you'd follow it's holy words to the letter. You and the rest of the pretenders would be terrified not to. Yesterday is the past "history"
Science is "all technical" all of the time, you just haven't been paying attention.

It's actually sad, how you winnow out certain bits and pieces of science that you will accept, exactly like you do your god. Were you to truly accept either a god or science, you would know that the other is canceled out completely. And with your your belief system, you have no choice, clearly the device by which you access the net, is witchcraft. And you are not out killing witches, are you? You are in fact using the witchcraft, which puts you in a bad position should you actually cross the path of a true believer.

You can have one or the other, but not both.

BTW: How many sinners have you stoned to death?

As far as sitting on the side of the street, clearly a goad* was needed. And the BBT, I do not claim to know anything about, but I do know that the so-called buybull god is a joke and tool used against rather slow minded people, who just choose not to see truth.

And "gave you" a girlfriend, does she have no value other than that which a god would deem her have, a hole through which she would serve a master/owner/husband, any of the three (all one and the same) is good with your god. Does she know that staying girlfriend is the safest course of action for her, for as wife your god might punish you by having the neighbor rape her in the street?

*Goad in your case being a witch doctor/minister/priest/sooth sayer or some other self serving liaison to the gods.
