Quoting science fiction writers, now? First Heinlein, now Clarke- who's next, Kurt Vonnegut?

What's really funny is when someone quotes a fictional character "in" a science fiction story.

Then there's always Terry Pratchett who has his characters use famous peoples' quotes like there his own and some idjit acts like it's an original thought of Terry's. Like the "Teach a man to fish..." quote.

xD

According to the buybull, there is only, the one thing that is ever seen of the god Jehovah, and that is his hindmost parts, and unfortunately the hindmost part, is what we most often see of his followers.~ Reason Personified

Blah blah blah- you use the words in Bible when it serves your purpose. Every sect of Christianity adds or subtracts Books as it serves their purposes. You seem to think that a Christian is bound to obey the letter of The Law, and not The Spirit. Thankfully, some of us know better.

Arthur C. Clarke produced hundreds of scientific papers. He was both a scientist and writer.

Vonnegut held an MA in anthropology - in addition to be brilliant and a writer.

Yeah, we know all about the Cafeteria Christain. Tell me, just how many of the bible's >> COMMANDS << should be obeyed?

Would you happen to have a current list of those commands which are OK to ignore?
Have you met anybody who ignored one or more of them and still made it to heaven?

Those are reeeeeally stoopid questions- and I haven't finished my coffee. According to my beliefs, there is only ONE rule that cannot be broken. Happy?

Just some odd insults that I found amusing --

He had delusions of adequacy -Walter Kerr

He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.- Winston Churchill

I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure.- Clarence Darrow

He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary.- William Faulkner (about Ernest Hemingway)

I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.- Mark Twain

BS! He said his family didn't like it when they found out he was gay. He's also said he thinks Brian Cox is dreamy.
Oh yeah, and the voice modulator he uses on his youtube videos ain't fooling anybody but the most clueless backwoods hicks.
Don't bother trying to say he's a transexual either, because it's obvious he still has his package attached.
I know a man when I see one.

You'd need more than airbrushing to resemble a woman. Try photoshopping a vagina onto your tightywhiteys.
