Atheist group to rip Bible pages in H.B....

Sep 15, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Orange County Register

Members of a grassroots atheist group say they will tear out pages of the Bible at the Huntington Beach pier Saturday to point out what they say is immorality in the book many Christians base their faith on.

Ya, Neverwinter looks pretty cool.
Right now I am playing the Tekkit mod pack for MineCraft.
AND.. Limbo, Penumbra black plague and overture, Dead Island, Dungeoun Defenders, SkyRim with the Dawn Guard and Dragon Born expansions, DDO, Secret World, Guild Wars 2, and starting up another Round of Oblivion until ESO comes out. Heck I might as well and another to the list, huh? lol

That looked cool. But I loathe player-vs-player games, and refuse to play any that feature that as even an option.

At the end, there, it looked like 3 human-controlled characters were about go go head-to-head. Pass.

Looks good. I had the Neverwinter Nights PC game several years ago, and played with it some. Soloing was not very well thought out, though-- it was too easy to wander into a place that was too high for your toon, getting you instant death. One reason why I quit playing, I suppose. I do detest games that don't give proper warnings at least. A good GM will give hints to players who've wandered too deep, before killing them.:D

Nice list especially GW2. I love how that game has a wonderful anti-god message! The humans still believe in their gods even though their gods abandoned them 5000 years ago. The Char are atheists and a few thousand years ago killed their gods because they were tired of their gods dictating them. The Ausra the high tech inventor race believes technology and medical advancements will shape the world they mock anyone for even thinking there was a god. The Silvari come from dreams and are so new to the world. Damn good game with great graphics and story. I really dig it especially the Char saying, You're faith is your weakness human.:)

That's a philosophy I can get behind.

Are you familiar with the Deus Ex series? The first is still the best, IMO, but the others are supposed to be good too. I haven't yet played the 3rd one, a prequel. Since it was also ported for consoles, I presume it's as damages as #2 was. I really hate what consoles have done to computer gaming-- so limited. Deus Ex #1 really isn't playable on a console, as you really do need all the available keys on a PC/Mac.

:)

I play DDO in much the same way, binding most of the keys on my 'board to various game functions. Try that with a controller with, what? 6 buttons? LOL!

If the hard drive is "not recognized" then you need to repair it, or replace it.

You can get used hard drives easily enough, here or there-- your local PC repair shop likely has some, as can your local pawn shops.

There are two styles, the older style and the later or newer style-- the easiest is to take your ailing X-box to where ever, and let them help you find a match.

However, replacing the hard drive will loose all your kid's saved games, unless you copy them to an X-box flash memory device first.

Nobody says anything to you because god isn't real. You're hearing voices and you probably need to see a doctor.

There's no such thing as the devil either, hope you get better soon.

I respect your thoughts but what I went through was something of a very sensitive nature I just I felt the presense of a devine being to a place that beyond my grasp and I felt the complete opposite of that comfort zone I did die and came back for a reason people choose to believe in religon which I don't really embrace just try to keep a open mind but we are program from a early age so in a name really doesn't mean devil it is the way we were taught but you grow to know right from wrong just hold on to the thought
of not knowing is truly a scarey feeling. But the ultimate word of a devine supreme being is better than with a void. In the end hey just maybe Try not to just limit yourself

My favorite if the 3, is the first one. Steam has it for cheapo. It's graphics are somewhat crude by today's standards.

But the gameplay is endlessly repeatable. There are always multiple paths to solve the current dilemma: pacifistic, shoot everything in sight, sneaky-but-deadly, diplomatic. You can solve the puzzle or use negotiation skills or bull your way from on map to the next. And there are even multiple paths through the various maps, too, to get to the next waypoint.

Your character is endlessly adjustable, as there are two levels of skill: bionics and actual skill-sets. You find nanobots to upgrade the bionics, and you get skill points you can spend on your various skills-- there are always too many skills, and too few points. Same for the nanobot canisters-- so you have to decide which to focus on, which to let slide.

In addition to that? You find useful stuff-- but too much to keep it all, so again, you must decide what to keep, what to toss, what to upgrade--yes, you can upgrade your tools/weapons too.

Too complex for a console.

Alas,#2, and I strongly suspect #3, deleted 90% of that so that it could fit on the super-limited console's crappy button(s). meh. Nearly ruined the game, it did. But the graphics are better, naturally.

I suppose I really ought to put my money where my mouth is, and play Deus Ex 3. I do like the philosophy.

Whereas I cannot say for #3,#1 and #2 had alternate endings-- several in fact. You can decide which of the 4 or so to choose, and watch a different ending movie appropriate to each choice.

Yeah it has 3 factions to choose from for PVP but PVP is not the main focus of the game you can also do co-op or solo missions and completely ignore the PVP option. There is also the screw multi-player and just play SkyRim single player option as well.
I still sink most of my spare time into MineCraft. That game gets crazy. I mean someone built a working computer with-in a computer game that controls the computer game... using binary.

I put a 150gig hard drive in my original x-box using this method. Never had to buy another game just rent it and copy to drive.

Get over yourself, you had an experience, granted, but that doesn't mean there's such a thing as god, you need to see a doctor, the human body is a machine and machine's go wrong from time to time. People are too self important to think that their experience counts as evidence.
