Found the two comments on this rather large topic illuminating. j
To Writing in Paradise (Honolulu...of course)... "Good riddance to bad rubbish". Are you expecting your facile comment on an octogenerian theologian to be taken seriously...whether you agree with him or not??

And to Light Sensitive.....absolutely.....l et the wars begin so we can be entertained and have fun as we watch...."literalism vs. liberalism" Fundy vs. not so....and you have the gall to comment that people are arguing over things they have no clue about and never will....sorry...somewhere in your two sentences I lost any sense of why you would/ought to be seen as a vastly superior all-seeing, all-knowing eye. But maybe that's the point...I am not one of the luminati you consort with.

ndcurry,

Don't expect intelligent debate from most of the atheists. All they know is simple-minded catch phrases. If my faith were as vast as their effortless ignorance, what a Christian I would be.

More effortless nonsense from the angry, witless “brigade of reason”. Yes, I will be prepared in the time to come, lol. I’m tingly with anticipation. I’ll try to keep the laughing, I mean whining, to a minimum.

I think you have that exactly backwards. At least atheists have usually read the bible to know the material. In fact, most atheists know the better better than the average christian. Evangelicals can't even be bothered to learn anything about evolution before jumping into an argument about it.

Ole to the Honolul dweller. I asked a relatively simple question last night to which you wrote an intelligible answer..."Yep" works for me.

Not quite sure why you are ranting away at Paul Zannucci. And sad to say, you seem to illustrate the point he made to me. An intelligent debate, while almost a lost art, does entail some sort of justification of one's opinions. A quote...a statistic...something emperical that could be looked at and evaluated by any sensible person. Sweeping statements about the Biblical literacy of atheists versus christians and then a jump into the unrelated pond that evangelicals know nothing about evolution but toss themselves merrily into the argument anyway reads to me as comment from someone merely out for a brawl.

Glad you are enthusiastic in your atheist faith, but I do think you might try to articulate what you believe more coherently. Who knows....you might convert someone.
Cheers.

Your bias is showing. I did nothing that Paul didn't do first. Yet you don't call him to task for it.

I'm not an atheist, and I'm not interested in converting anyone to my religion.

Fair enough. He threw his toys first. I have an average number of biases, so not sure which one(s) you are referring to, but you seem happy enough, and that works for me.

Your forgiveness doesn't mean anything to me. It was your choice to get offended by an incorrect word.

The Anglicans and Catholics are just [winos]they celebrate mass every other Sunday or important Christian events (dates). I don't blame (Packer)for leaving the Anglicans, they own alot of pain to Aboriginal people, (kids in Indian Res. Schools)some of the things they inflicted on those Aboriginal kids have resulted in suicide or deformed children because of damaged testicles and the GOD genes have been altered as if they know what they where doing, we all know that the Indian residential schools were prisons as when a an Indian Child run away, they went after him like they do a common criminal who escapes from a PEN. So that is one of Packer's demises, they operated secret PENS for the Federales, this same comment also applys to the Catholic Church they too operated the secret PENS for the Federales, how would you react as a White minority if your child was forced at gun point to be send to an Indian residential school hundreds of miles from you, and then when it is finally over you find your children with whip marks, well that is what the Indians found when they finally got their kids back, that is not justice. I am too tired to tell you a secret maybe another time about he true purpose of these secret Federales PENS. From Barry Kitchkeesic-Wynn

WIP- I wasn't offfended, because we all get in a hurry and make typos- even in real life. I also know laughter is the best medicine, which has so many benefits, pysically, mentally, and spiritually!

I think you should be careful with your use of the word apostate brother. I think its good to state when you disagree with someone, but I think you and I can agree that Anglicans are not going to hell (the implication of the word Apostate) simply from the fact that they are ordaining gay bishops. Another thing, when we disagree with people we are to use words of "love" and "patience" are Paul says at the end of two of his letters. You seem like a good person that wants to fight for the truth, do it, just becareful as Paul says that your "words are full of grace"
