To Rome Britain and USA, I'd include the USSR, the Mongols the Persians the Greeks the French the Spanish and of course Germany and Japan.

My History books listed The AXIS powers ,COMMUNIST
Russia, and the UN,(Politically)
The Communist Chinese, and the UN (Economically)
The only reason the RED Chinese can't take over
the world is you can't transport 200 million
troops and equipment (logistics)
They won't do it as long as WE (the west) have
money and are willing to buy cheap stuff from them.

Vietnam and Korea would have started WITHOUT the Soviet Union. Vietnam started in 1945 when Ho asked the US for recognition of independence.

We didn't go into the Soviet Union after WWII because enough blood had been spilled already. And we prefer to dominate by economics, not military. That's why we pay people to fight for us. Like Contras, Bin Laden, Saddam Hussien, Noriega, etc.

And Patton wouldn't have made it to Moscow. The Russians had us outnumbered 2 to 1 in ground forces and had better armor. We might have pulled air superiority, but that would not have stopped the Russians.
